PSN is not back online....

But my wife still can't log in yet this morning and alot of other people can't either so you need to update that to something else then saying its We are pleased to announce that the issue has been addressed.

https://downdetector.com/status/playstation-network Their saying you have to change your MTU for it to work but we shouldn't have to mess with our settings that were working before to try to even sign in, doesn't make any sense.

So not sure whats going on......

To get your PSN back to work try this: Settings > Network > Setup Connection > Manually > Wifi or LAN. Leave everything on standard until you come up to MTU Settings. There you need to change it to 1473 manually.

Then restart your PS4 and try to sign in again. I had to do this this morning to sign in.

Yes, I saw all that in those threads, why are we having to do this??? And its obviously not working for some.....I'm not really wanting to fuss around with these settings, I shouldn't have to jump through hoops on my end just to get the damn thing back online...

If a possible solution has been given and you don't want to follow it, I'm not really sure what to tell you. Sometimes resolving network issues requires the user to do/change some things. What does it really hurt to try? It's not like there's really anything to lose here. If it doesn't work, your PS4 still can't get online. If it works, then well... it worked! I can tell you that all the people I know that play on PS3/4 are back online.

PSN has been working for me since yesterday. I just hopped online to see if it went down again, but everything was fine.

My only guess is maybe they are rolling out access so not everyone is logging in all at once.

I can confirm this does in fact do the trick, just helped a few of my FC mates who have not been able to get online for days now. They changed it and it worked like a charm, thanks for the tip!

I did nothing with settings or router just kept trying the login button and eventually got on.

Been working fine here. Was up till 3am last night on ffxiv. Checked again this morning. All good.
