I spy at 2:27, a guy named "Hubairtien" in Falcon's Nest. A coincidence?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHhQAIKd9SA
Here's a list of the things in that video:
- 00:00 The Crypt of Xandes I (1.0 Only - See Above)
- 00:34 Dark Aetherial Node (1.0 Only; Dunno what it was. Weak gate? Void entrance?)
- 01:08 Gwyr-Aen (Still Exists)
- 01:31 Ishgardian Vigil (Still Exists; Design and size have been retconned)
- 01:59 The Falcon's Nest (Inaccessible in Coerthas Western Highlands)
- 03:03 Amberscale Rock (Still Exists; guarded by powerful elementals in 1.0 storyline; associated with dragon legend; looks like a dragon)
- 03:16 The Guardian Tree (Still Exists; heart of the Twelveswood)
- 04:00 White Tree (Unknown; Likely just an early Hedgetree)
- 04:13 Burnt Tree (1.0 Only; Burned by Khrimm in the storyline)
- 04:25 Lifemend Stump (Still Exists; Associated with Moogle Lore)
- 04:40 Gelmorran Ruins (Destroyed; remnants visible in ARR. Rocks missing, look similar to Amberscale, shaped kinda like tonberries)
- 05:08 Thal's Respite (Still Exists)
- 05:48 The Red Labyrinth (Still Exists in name, doesn't glow like that)
I believe so. Some 1.0 names were re-used with their original characters, and others were not. 1.0 was an old man that spoke of the dangers about looking into a dragon's eyes, listening to their words, or touching their scales and blood.

I'd like to apologize to the OP. We've taken this thread so far off-topic that it's actually a bit funny. Are you content with the answer to your question or do you have others pertaining to Midgardsormr?
Moose - If you'd like, you or I can start a new thread for theories on Hydaelyn/Twelve/Primals. I've noticed that derailing to speculate on this subject is a common trend here in the Lore forums, especially when I'm involved.
At least it all tacitly connects to the primalsplosion, in one way or another. In its pre-Lore Forum heyday, GC Midlander was mercilessly topicless, lol.
Depends on how badly you'd like to tear into it before 2.5's reveals! I usually hesitate to commit to a theory, these days, and just fire off a round of buckshot possibilities. It makes for a more lively and open discussion. I usually do get a couple rounds in the bull's eye, once you sand off the fringes... lol

Pffft... You think a measly patch could so easily halt my speculative nature?! Anyway, I rarely commit to any theories, especially my own. You may eventually notice that, usually, my current theory will even contradict my last.Depends on how badly you'd like to tear into it before 2.5's reveals! Besides, do you really think 2.5 will give all that much information on the true nature of the primals, creation of the twelve or Hydaelyn's naughty past? No? ...I thought as much. ;P
I have to watch the rest of the video / read the rest of the thread, but this Aetherial Node was used to Grand Company quest to fight Garuda (the Lv40ish one). The hard mode Garuda gate was closer to Camp Dragonhead, but I distinctly recall the easy mode gate because it was around lv 50+ hippogryphs lol
Only meant the first one one sorry about that. Also didn't put 2 and 2 together for the Crypt of Xandes. Overall I meant the crystal locations such as garuda crystal which was released for the 1.0 primal used to be at an area behind the battle ground if you desynced your way to through the invisible wall. That one of course was locked because the battle ground was instanced so the map and invisible wall to get there was moved out of reach. Similar to darkhold which when the dungeon was opened there was no way to glitch through the former wall because there was no area behind it anymore.
On it being locked your right I could have just gotten lost since I was racing the server going down at the battle event and the Mor Dhona disconnects were so real the last 2 hours.
Mitsuda Yasunori + Soken Masayoshi Track Collaboration 2015! <The Dream>
Heres a thought with a spoiler...
*FINAL COIL SPOILERS*
What if there was no "lesser" Primals before the ship exploded but what we saw was the crew being turned into primals due to the massive explosion of aether, just like loisoix (sp) in turn 12 became the phoenix from the aether backlash in the battle of carteneua (sp) :P
Difference between elder and non-elder primals may be related to their power more than their age![]()
Erm, are we absolutely sure we will get an elder primal? Shiva was advertised as an elder primal and ended up being something totally different. Also, it has been confirmed that Midgarsomr is not a primal. Of course we may get Odin who really is an elder primal and raises many, many questions about who he is and why he was imprisoned
EDIT: gaaah, reading the comments makes me wish I could somehow play the complete 1.0 storyline. I missed out on a lot of good lore.
