So why is the op still playing?

Clearly they have little love for the game, maybe that is because they spend more time scouring the net trying to find what's wrong with it instead of just playing it.

If you don't like it, no one is forcing you to play. Sure there is bad stuff but there is a lot of good too. Why not compile a mile long list of the good stuff too, that would at least make you more valid. But starting basically an "Ihateffxiv" thread here and on tumblr really does little for your credibility.

For my honest view i played 1.0 i was hmm i like it but that would kill this game by long tearm, Even i feelt there was something that was not completed.
2.0 pretty much fixed the issue that 1.0 had.
Now 3.0 that is coming soon is actully the first real progress of this game that we all looking forward to.
Even me who played from 1.0.

The game is fine. It's not perfect and has its issues like every other game out there. Thinking how many things added in only 1 year makes me happy. Sure some of those changes and content was not good. I personally hated the hunting system, the "train your chocobo" misleading, the expensive housing without any real advantage of having one even though I have bought my own house, the absence of physical EU servers in EU and some other thing here and there. I'm really excited about the future though. 2.5 seems fun and can't wait for the Expansion in Spring. Nothing will be ever perfect in the gaming industry. Nowadays even single player offline games suffer from horrendous issues. Unfortunately you can't keep everyone happy no matter what. The only thing I hope for is a faster development pace so they can fix faster some issues and make the community happier.

I'm positive this is satire and it's hilarious. It's basically a list of every popular complaint filed against the game and shows how silly most of them are.

Also, how do you even complain about the cash shop? Like, it's 100% optional and has no impact on the game. You want something? You have to buy it. This concept has existed since the beginning of capitalism.

The jumping stuff just so much. "Giving people the ability to jump is not realistic!", "My immersion would be ruined by everyone doing nothing but jumping around 24/7!", cried the people whose only other MMO was FFXI. "We need a fatigue meter for jumping in this game so the game will be more realistic, with dragons and primals and moogle gods as well!", cried the people who don't understand irony.
