PvP: A Contest of Gladiators!

I could see mini game style PvP.
Gla Vs Gla in an areana.
Arch Vs Arch in a arrow shooting range.
Lnc Vs Lnc in a skewer body parts fast game.
Pug Vs Pus who can hit hardest.

I can't be bothered thinking of any more lol
They would all take place in the Guilds of course ^^

Just as long as they are better mini-games than Parley >_>;...

As a whole though I do think a good start would be to utilize the Coliseum for initial PvP fights, it would fit very well into the lore. You could even have people bet on the winner to add drama!

Side note/partial thread derail: I really liked Pankatron from XI and I think the Coliseum would be a great place to revive it! Could even have PvP in the form of an actual player vs another player's trained monster?

I would rather the FFXIV crew work on other facets of the game. In fact, i would not even have them waste the time saying the words PvP let alone pursue it in earnest.

though some training arena would be nice, one where you can test to see how hard you hit, or how hard you are hit for before heading into the field. Like some sort of training dummy.

All i know is that Yoshi-P is a huge PvP fan. I'm not bothered by PvP, I'm a Botanist. ^^

The FFXIV crew is not a small crew. They have different departments for every little section of the game. I am sure if PVP is coming, there is already a crew assigned making PVP.
