I've started seeing this myself, and it's becoming so commonplace and ridiculous to the point where it's almost a stereotype to where fully geared tank = noob.

Yeah, I see a lot of this too. Most of the time, I can handle it...but it's not a terribly fun run.
Sometimes I'll queue as tank to have a laugh at DPS pulling before I do.
My rule is you initially pull it, you tank it. Just because I *can* tank it fine as I am, that healer don't look too well, so why risk not having the backup?
The healer initially pulls? Like I said, I *can* tank it fine as I am.
I do see it on my healer though. I've generally blown through my MP and Benediction by the bear. Tank don't have time fo' dat.
My first time in Brayflox HM, as a fresh 50 with some i90 gear, I had actually written out "I'm new to 50 and not sure how well I can do." Tank was like "just spam Cure III and Regen on me." I died by the first stopping point because they assumed I'd actually not cast Regen during the pull. I'd never casted Regen until hate was established before!
So just.. yes. x.x
Lord alive.. my last visit to the Sunken Temple of Quarn (HM) the tank just.. assumed a speed run was fine.
I mean for goodness' sake, how is speed running expert mode dungeons without warning ever a good idea? My healer is decked out to just shy of i120 and the idiot wasn't bothering to wait for the rest of us. How am I supposed to even keep him alive when by the time I've rounded a corner, even his generally i100-120 gear hasn't kept him alive long enough for me to hit him with Cure II? And even if I can get a cure on him before he goes down, it's never enough to get him back above 1/3'd. Benediction can't be used every room, you know.
So.. yeah rant aside, not only have I seen this infuriating trend of just speed-running wherever.. it seems half these people assume it's the proper thing to do even when not decked out adequately to absorb damage. And that's setting aside the fact I just hate having to speed run anyway. I'm actually considering quitting my current FC after having to listen to them spend most of yesterday evening bashing some poor sod dared enter the duty finder wearing gear 'wasn't adequate for a speed run. THEY'RE A FREAKING ROLEPLAY FC. You know it's gotten bad when one of the larger, longest-established roleplay groups is infected with this sort of behaviour.
Stupid vertical progression-dedicated gear treadmill-driven MMO format ¬¬

Bad tanks will always be bad tanks. I don't think there's a healer in the world who can save an idiot from himself. Analyzing what your healer and party can manage and what you can survive is just part of the job. If you can't even do that, you might as well hang up your shield.
Came out of a Roulette 2 hours back.
Almost wiped at the first boss of snowcloak.... LOL I got killed by bombs and deep freeze.
After that, the rest of the run got better, guess it woke ppl up a bit.

If I plan on doing ridiculously large pulls I'll throw it up in PF. You never know what you're going to get in DF and some people aren't im the mood for speed runs, which is cool. Sometimes I'm not either.
Definitely not just tanks... lately I get a LOT more dps and healers telling me I need to do "bigger pulls" , especially healers who then FAIL at healing.
