On the bright side I can afk in Mor Dhona or hunt S Ranked Marks with all settings maxed and not needing to reduce the "display objects: maximum" setting now :3

Does anyone in this thread actually understand how a DDoS works? Because it sure doesn't look like it. If DDoSes were so easy to deal with, they wouldn't be the attack method of choice for anyone who wants to disrupt a website/online service. They're easy to set up and very hard to stop.

I fully understand how a DDoS attack works, just frustrated with the fact that it not costing one but two subscription times

Sony is probably still working on stopping the attack on their network. Since PS4 is pay to play online there are many unhappy customers that can't play their PS4 games not just FFXIV.

In no way am I paying $1000 or more for something that can easily get a virus and lose all data I know pc is more powerful but I don't care.

Always amazed at how misinformed people are on what is required to run some games.... It plays just fine on 5+ year old hardware. Hardware that has been out of production for quite a while... Dual core CPU, ATI branded video cards (they switched to AMD several generations ago), DDR2 memory.... you could buy/build a system that could run this game for less than you paid for your PS4. Reminds me of people looking to buy high end systems for FFXI when it could run on a freaking netbook ffs.
