If you mean PS+, no. FFXIV does not require you to be subscribed to Sony as well... it does require you to be on PSN, annoyingly enough.

I read an article that said Microsoft had next to zero security to prevent this ddos from happening and sony had just beefed up because of the earlier one this year already. Now Microsoft is restored 80 to 90 % of it's services while Sony still twiddles it's thumbs and leaves ps4 customers down. I read ps3 and psvita are back up and the problem seems to be with psn and ps4 atm. I don't expect much from SE tbh it's not really them to blame. It would be kinda nice if they extended the holiday event but with most of the event items otw to cash shop I don't see that happening either when they can just cash shop an item at a later date. I don't expect Sony to compensate either but I do in fact expect them to get their shit in gear. Sony is hurting on the money side of things which it shows.

I was lucky I was logged before the attacks happened, so I didn't suffered any interruptions. Today was another story, however, I was expecting it, and considering I wouldn't have been able to play for an extended period of time I am not bothered by it. Lucky this did not occurred during my next few days off.

I haven't been trying as often as most, but same here. I think people are managing to sneak into a window where PSN is up for a few seconds and logging in. I might resort to trying for that if this lasts too long.. @_@
