Welp, at least they answered the question. But it was the wrong answer. It really sounds like they are worried about "divorce". That should have no effect. The person who bought the house and their name is on it should be the owner. We just want to be able to set permissions beyond "everyone or no one" and that people can use amenities. So annoyed. I think they gave us a "maybe later" or whatever....Will we be able to set permissions in our personal houses allowing Eternal Bond Partner FULL access to the amenities (bell, NPCs, garden, mini-aetheryte) furniture placement, etc.?
Basically will our marriage partner be able to fully share our personal house?
Permissions for other groups (Friend list, free company members, etc.) would also be a bonus.
Can we bring these threads / this topic back to life, please? I'm bumping my thread, but there have been many of them in the past months (numerous ones I have linked in my OP). Eternal Bonds are happening. The time is now. But it's not just about being able to share with your EB partner. While that would be nice, if SE is so worried about divorce and doesn't want full co-ownership or sharing, they just need to give us SOME options of allowing other(s) permissions to our amenities in our personal houses, including full gardening and furniture placement, as well as summoning bell and NPC use, etc.
This can be turned ON AND OFF at will be the homeowner (same as the "access" can be). PLEASE DO THIS SOONER RATHER THAN LATER, SE. You are pumping up personal housing all over the place, including with this current seasonal quest taking place in the housing districts. THIS CHANGE WILL HARM NO ONE AND ONLY MAKE MANY OF US HAPPY.
PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN! :/
I know that in LotR's you can set permissions, so I don't understand why SE hasn't done it. I know many people have asked about this but I've yet to see an answer. Seems like this issue continues to be ignored.
Please I would like to have the option to set permissions for my house. I would like to lock my door and let those I choose to come in. Also I would like to be able to have someone be able to water/tend to my garden if I'm sick or can't log into the game. I'm sure I'm not the only one that has health issues or is unable to log in for a few days.
I would also like to have people be able to teleport to my house. It would also bring more people into the wards, besides FC's.
I'm going to marry my RL hubby in game and I want to him to be able to have permissions in my house. As far as the divorce issue, no problem, who ever bought the house still owns it. I don't see why this is such a big deal.

After gold saucer is implemented (where apparently the housing team is stationed on for the moment) please make this a priority.
Bump +1 I agree make it happen.
My understanding is that Wildstar had this available at launch where you could add people to your "neighbors" list and they then could access your house.
Right now there is no reason for players to visit each others personal houses. With as much attention as SE is putting on housing, this is a massive issue. It's also so stupid we have to wait at all. Flip the switch, please, SE, and let us set these permissions.
@Kittarae: right now if you set guest access to open, ppl can tend you plants. But of course they can't harvest or fertilize, so eventually the plants would die if the owner can't log in. So frustrating.
SE PLEEEEEAAAASE. D:
If we could at least get a response from the developers or even Yoshida if its going to be worked on I'm more than happy to wait.
I just want to know if it's on their list of things to do! It's no fun having friends over unable to interact with your personal house.
I did however find out that one of the community reps from the Japanese forums said the team were considering adding access to your friends list but a more definite answer would be nice.
Friends list only would be annoyingly frustrating. We need alt access. Basically, I think the priority of where they most need to add it would be:
Alts -> Eternal Bond partners -> Friends List -> other (specific) players
(That's unless they go with the pattern where full access to a house makes the game treat it as your house. I.e. you couldn't both share someone else's house and have another of your own. In that case, it wouldn't make sense as a group option like the Friends List and would only work for alts, EB partners, and specific other players you choose to share with.)

My issue is that the question about access has been asked so many times, in so many threads and absolutly no answer what so ever. Now that everything is slow at SE for the holidays not expecting any answer until after the first of the year, if they have one.
Will check the permissions out for watering, thx for the info.
