Heck yes! I'm so excited! Even if the class is terrible, those epics will still look fabulous.

In all honesty, I think it looks fantastic, and I appreciate Square Enix taking a step out of their comfort zone for this one. While the name may become a little confusing for some FF fans, I like that FFXIV finally has their own unique Job class.

Sorry to be a bubble burster but Astrologian is a FF tactics job class.

Anyway I am hoping its one of those classes which can dabble in a lot of things and has a high skill ceiling where you can do some amazing things with practice, if so might move over to Astrologian and their fancy pants Astrolobe asap.

Which FFT? I don't recall it being in any FFT game. And if I look at the FF Wikia is doesn't show it for any other game but FFXIV.

Apparently the Japanese name is more or less the same. However, with a grand total of one ability which may not even appear in it, I'd say for all intents and purposes it's wholely original to XIV.

Of course, I also look at Scholar the same way, effectively being something entirely unique to XIV even if the name has appeared before.

They're synonyms, but Astrologer is literally all of one skill. It's a big stretch to say that it even counts as a job at all considering outside of Galaxy Stop/Celestial Stasis it's just a Squire. I'd say it's more likely to have more in common with Oracle from FFV than Astrologer, if just because Oracle at least seems like a kind of gimmick they may try and pull.

As of now, I'm playing a Warrior. I normally play healer roles, but I honestly don't really like the currently available healer roles.

Gambler is my favorite FF class, and I love cards. When this thing comes out, its instantly my main.
