I for one, am super excited about it! I'm one of those people that healing really just feels like the only fit for me! I love being able to support my allies in battle~ It makes me feel a little less useless y'know? Hehe i look forward to getting to play with new and old users alike! It will be cool to see what my fellow healers and myself will learn along the way! Hope you all have a super grand time discovering the new things the expansion has to offer! <3 happy healings.

I main SCH, and secondary BLM. I'm more interested in the Machinest job, but I think I'll be leveling all the new jobs to find a favorite, like most people.

Astrologian? When I first saw it, my first thought was "All of my yes." Having did what little more research I could do? New potential healer main, for sure. Here's to hoping it's even more fun than scholar!

In all honesty, I think it looks fantastic, and I appreciate Square Enix taking a step out of their comfort zone for this one. While the name may become a little confusing for some FF fans, I like that FFXIV finally has their own unique Job class.

Kudos to the people who have been calling this for a while. Maybe the Geomancer will come next year.

Riding the Astrologian Hype train. Might even level it to 60 before my White Mage deppending on how the job actually is, I really really loved the concept

I'm a healer at heart, I will end up playing it regardless of how it performs. Pick the right healer for the fight~

Go take a look at the DPS forums and you'll see a massive thread just about mudra lag. Recast time is supposed to be 0.5 seconds for each mudra but for some reason or another, it frequently goes on to 1s or 1.5s in duties for the next mudra to register. Sometimes, it will register the mudra clientside but not the server so you have cases where you go 3-2-1 for Huton and then lag skips over 2 and gives you Katon so your only choice left is to do 2 again for Doton. It has even been shown that if you have any sort of mudra lag, using Fuma Shuriken instead of Raiton results in next to no DPS loss because that second mudra isn't eating into your GCD. Now imagine a similar problem for a healer, where timing is of the utmost importance.

Whelp, I guess that bites for other people, but I've literally never had a problem with this and wasn't aware it was a problem. Thanks for the heads up!

I am super excited to play as Astrologian.

I main WHM + SCH (depending on the need for the situation) and I honestly wasn't expecting too much from the new healer class when people were theory crafting about it.

Something about a salve-maker didn't seem that interesting to me, but now you're telling me I can heal people by drawing forth the power of the stars + a divine deck? Holy hell, that sounds awesome, sign me up.

It helps that Luxord is also my favorite Org XIII member, the card playing mechanic has always struck me as really cool.

That apart, I think it would be interesting to see a healer class use TP instead of MP. Maybe sometime in the future...
