Anyone else holding out on sealants 2.5

For cost in Oaknots, no, even before the last patch in which SE reduced the cost of Xephatol Water (spelling?) which by omission seems to indicate they might have looked at sealants too and are fine with the cost. Besides that, I just want to get the Artisan/Forager OHs and gear done ASAP then I can actually craft some of those things to sell... maybe, or just get back to other tribe quests.

For cost on MB (obviously a patch won't change this), yes. They sell quickly and price fluctuates between 400-500k on my server. I have only bought 2 at just under 400k each because I had recently made some good sells. Ideally for me though I would like to see them at 150-200k before buying many at a time.

wow 400k? they run around 250k on my server. Heh Mastercrafted Demis were down to 300k today.

Personally, I have found making and selling mc demi such an incredibly fast way to get gil that I just buy them. Weaver desynthesis of bridesmaid pants and weaver tool desynthesis make profits from everything you get. Easier than farming oaknots

MCs have been down to 300k now. Marketboard gets flooded. Guess now is the time to finish my supras heh

Sealants are still going for 400k here on Lamia. The value of sealants went down to 200k for a day and then Then a bunch of players bought out the entire supply and reset it back to 400k.

That is about the same thing that happened on Brynhildr. About 2-3 weeks ago, after steadily declining since they were first launched, sealants jumped from 180k to 350k practically overnight and have stayed there ever since.

It is so frustrating. I have worked so hard to make money. I have 26 million effing gil and that is STILL not enough to purchase the sealants and mastercraft materias to upgrade all my DoH. And what do I get for it in the end? I can make expensive, inferior i110 equipment for myself or can attempt to sell said exorbitantly expensive equipment and probably not recoup my costs, let alone make a profit.


I sometimes wonder if I should just give up on progressing past 3-star as a crafter. I guess I kind of have already. I might jump in later if it wasn't so ridiculous.

Oh, and I have been doing desynth for MCDs. I'm just in a sour mood because I have only gotten 2 for the last 10 artisan needles.

Yeah, put me down in the "waiting and hoping they nerf sealants someday" camp.

I suppose the cost will go down with time, when all players who are not high level crafters and want gil discover they can make a lot of gil just doing the Ixal quests, once they reach the level they start to get Ixal knots. Up to now that doesn't seem to be happening. :-)

thats me lol ive made millions of gil just selling sealants lol not even close to be able to use them myself n figured by the time i get to that stage its gonna be pretty easy to get XD
