From fresh 50 to 4 Star

Despite my constant attempts to undo myself, I've decided to go into endgame crafting. I know it's long and tedious, but I've gotten to the point that long, overly-drawn out payoffs are what's keeping me invested in the game.
But once I came to the conclusion that I wanted to endgame craft, I realized I have NO clue what to do. I had gotten my LTW to be able to barely do one star recipes, but that was it. Don't even ask me to make Hard Hippogryph Leather. So my question is this, how does a crafter go from fresh to 4 star?
(I know one of the obvious answers is melding, but with so much new content out there for crafters, I feel like I'm just playing with plastic shovels in a cement box)

    My current crafters:
    CRP 50 crftmnshp 312 ctrl 313
    ARM 15
    LTW 50 crftmnshp 322 ctrl 309
    WVR 50 crftmnshp 273 ctrl 291
    ALC 25

Get all your DoH to 50 first off. Then spend 80M on gear, or spend thousands of hours crafting and doing Ixali quests.

    1. Do your Ixali Beast tribe quest everyday (good crafting xp) A must for crafters for the sealants, will take months of grinding or lots of gil.
    2. Get all of your DoH classes to 50
    3. Gear them up in their AF gear or if your into spending alot of money buy the artisians
    4. your going to need to get all of your DoH classes fully melded.
    5. Artisians glasses and first master book (can do this while not fully melded)
    6. Get your artisians Main hand or skip right to supra (google)
    7. get your artisian offhands
    8. craft your 4star tokens for your books and so forth.

Id work on desynthesis. By the looks of it, its not going away any time soon heh and can save you quite a bit of money and make you alot too..

Heres a nice guide for Desynth http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-Endgame-Guide

Short answer is, you don't. You have several options however and can alternate between them.

    A) Earn money via crafting 1 and 2 star stuff to make some start up funds.
    B) Farm / buy the mats and craft for mastercraft demi materia's and FC3's
    C) If you have at least a mil, start learning / reading up on how to manipulate the market and playing it like you would stocks.

Make sure to do you ixalli dailies each day, make sure to get your artisan primary, you shouldn't skip it since it is a LOT cheaper to get than the supra and it allows you to hit 3 star which still has a good market on most servers. However, unless you have all cross class skills available, you're severely limiting yourself.

Point being, meld your accessories first. Focus on getting the New artisan gloves, feet and legs since that only requires 3 BiS melds for 8 classes over 24 BiS Melds for 8 classes.

Level/Gear wise this is bacially the fast route.

Though you'll still need to laern the "Hasty Method" of crafting and get your master books.

I've been crafting more than doing other content for a good 7 or 8 months now, have everything at CUL at 3-star and a ton of gil, and I still find 4-star to be prohibitively expensive and not even worth it for me. The thought of going from fresh 50 to 4-star is incredibly daunting to me.

For you, I would make two recommendations:
    1. Level everything to 50, which I look back on with fondness as the easy part.
    2. Figure out how to make money. Lots of money. Like 10's of millions of Gil. Ehcatl sealants are probably the best route because they require little in terms of skill or gear, mostly just doing your time.
