Odd... The only real negativity in this thread seems to be presented by the last posts... Why such bile towards people wanting options? Not a remake, options. This seems to be the perfect time to bring up such wishes, before the addition goes live. I don't know about other threads, and those aren't this one anyway, but OP presented a suggestion in an eyecatchingly colourful but polite manner, and most posts have had a positive air, even when disagreeing. This obviously isn't a complaint-thread. Why not let it remain that way? If people didn't appreciate this game, do you really think they'd bother to speak up about what they would like to see?

I couldn't agree more. I definitely appreciate the creativity behind this race. Their outfits for example are amazing. However I don't see how asking for a few tweaks before they are added into the game to a) increase variety among players & b) make more people happier is a negative thing?

it's not being negative, it's pointing simple Fact, Au Ra is not a fully lizard race (more draconian) but a hybrid one... they do have scale there and there but they don't have a fully covered body. actually i find really interesting how they have done it.
however, i understand your point to ask for more option, i'm always for more option. exept this one is really.... bad. i want to point something else too, we still haven't seen all the creation option of the race.....



if you look him face he do have more scale.... indeed it's not fully scally but it's more than enough.

Barely hybrid (or not even at all). Just Hyur with some dingledangs here and there (they don't even have claws for hands/feet). If they were similar to the Silurian race in Doctor Who, I'd be okay with that. Because then Yugiri would have had an actually valid reason to hide her face (if anything, she should have tried to hide her tail and then say she was a Padjal... or Alphinaud telling her to do just that if she didn't know what Padjals were). Kudos to SE for making a new anime race, sure. But next time maybe something a little more unique/ugly?

Well giving players certain choices can actually ruin the fun for others. As the poster you quoted said, they prefer the races look a certain way (likely for their own enjoyment), to go in a route that doesn't have them all look human, ruins their enjoyment.

A Padjal with scales on the forehead and the throat and with no ears and (more importantly) not even born in Gridania? Nobody would have believe this story. It only show that you don't know the story behind the Padjals.

She could just say they're unique neck and headgear (far more normal than half the crap we wear). I also know full well about the Padjal lore (Hyurs blessed by the shroud for eternal youth and blahblahblah). I've just stopped caring about this games lore, is all :/

They have not shown us the different clans.
I imagine there will be since every race has 2 distinct clan types.

Possibly the female is shown from the clan that tended towards the Elezen side of their heritage, while the other tended more towards the Draconian.
So one side would be heavily scaled with the slitted eyes, while the other is what we saw in the intro video.

Either that or we get to choose where the scales go. Though the ones we've seen so far make a lot of sense (Scales protecting the neck/shoulder/wrists+forearm). We don't yet know if they have scales elsewhere.

On topic, i guess, i would not say no to more customizations. Even for existing Races.
