We're probably working up towards that in the story right now. I don't know if you're caught up, but we're already beginning to deal with the truth behind Ishgard's hatred for dragons and dragonkin.

i only got one question:
if padjal and cat-women are widely accepted in Eorzea -
WHY THE F**K SHOULD YUGIRI HAVE TO HIDE HER APPEARENCE WHEN SHE LOOKS LIKE EVERY OTHER GIRL RACE

Padjal are not a own race. They are just ageless hyurs, touched by elementals ^^. And exist since the foundation of Gridania.
And Miqo'te are in Eorzea since the 5th umbral era (wandered over the frozen oceans before they reached Eorzea). Enough time to accept them.

And yes, there could be a problem if the Ishgardians know that a dragonkin work for the people in Revenant's Toll. So she hide her face until it get solved in the coming main story.

I for one love the new race and will be switching day one. The female is everything I ever wanted in a playable race. When I first began playing this game, I wanted elegance so I was an Elezen female. I liked her I guess, but she lacked something, she wasn't cute, she was elegant and pretty sure but I wanted some CUTENESS. So I switched to midlander hyur female. Once again, I liked her I guess, she had cuteness but all the elegance was gone and I was overwhelmed by their ridiculous SKIP of a walk, flailing their arms about in front of them like idiots.

In the end the cute won over the elegance, but the HORRIBLE midlander run animation and sheer lack of grace and beauty has always hit a sore spot with me, I've never been fully happy with my character. I longed to be able to play the Padjal race, as Kan-E Senna was both graceful and adorable, but the lore instantly shut down that ever happening.

But I've been given the next best thing in the Au Ra! They are absolutely beautiful while still being cute, and don't have a ridiculous stupid SKIP for a run. I will fantasia day 1 and never look back. Thank you SE, I will finally have my perfect race.
