Add more tomes for helping low level dungeons?

How often do you help players perform low level dungeons? Since that seems to be your concern. With your arrogance, I am expecting a lot but won't be disappointed if you say you don't.

1. Not only do i run low level roulettes 'just coz', i also run low level dungeons with no expectation of rewards when fc members, friends, friends of friends, linkshell members, or some random new player i just met out in the field need the assistance.

2. I - out of my own pocket - have re-equipped players i have come across out in the field because they were using the wrong gear for their job, or were way past their gears usefulness for the content they are doing, the same can be said for fc members and friends alike.

3. I'm not an Elitist asshat that only cares about my self, this is an mmo and mmo's center around community, if you want the game to be all about you, go play CoD you arrogant, snotty Bro-Gamer.

Yea I am sure you just spend all day helping people, and queuing for low level dungeons to help players.

This is a matter of effort vs reward. Why do something that can take the same or more time when the reward isn't worth it in comparison to other means of getting such reward. Also hate level synch.

Why do Roulettes have bonus tome rewards at all? Because SE understands that these things are not worth doing on their own. Even someone who sincerely wishes to run low level dungeons to help other players will eventually tire of it. That's a simple fact - none of us are perfect altruists, and all of us want to spend at least some time on activities that benefit ourselves. Tome rewards give folks who otherwise wouldn't bother a reason to help out.

People on this thread are saying that the incentive is too low. This is an important opinion to communicate to SE. If enough people share that opinion, then the incentive needs to be increased. Otherwise, there will be a reduction in the number of players signing on to assist.

You can call it greed, if you like, but when folks are paying time and effort, they expect to be properly compensated for it. It's no greedier than working a job in real life and expecting to get paid. In real life, if you feel that you're not getting paid enough, you either get a raise or you quit. If people are quitting Roulette, then it's time for a raise.

So you use your helping of low level to make you feel like you're better than others. Instead of just mentioning your helping, you resort to name calling and stereotyping any player that plays another game, call of duty. What a great way to show how much you care. It's nice you spend a lot of time randomly buying people low level gear and going through old dungeons just for the hell of it, but if people want to do something else, like doing their relic, beating coil, beating primals with friends LSes FCs, becoming an omnicrafter etc, then that is fine too. You get a benefit of feeling better about yourself as you have clearly displayed, and they get a benefit of getting item rewards in-game.

And here is the spin on what you just said. Clearly a reply to defend yourself. And use what you do to put yourself above others. Just because you don't boast about server first clears on content, doesn't mean your bragging would make you any less of an elitist. My question was simple and required a short answer but you went into some detail there about all the effort you put in.

1: Don't assume you're the only one. Just because the rewards aren't very enticing for a low level roulette, doesn't mean that some players, when done with their progression, will flat out refuse to assist others in need.

2: Can see this how you will, re-equipping players is nice. Again, don't assume you're the only one. Although a good alternative would be, as the saying goes:

'give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime'

Could teach them to equip themselves instead. See lots of people at level 50 using gear with the wrong stats.

You are however using your "good deeds" to put yourself above others or assume a superiority to them. Also, you can still be an asshat regardless of being elitist or not.

An mmo is not the game for you, hell, anything connected to the internet is not for you.

Interestingly enough, in my post which you quoted, I did not use the words "I" or "me" even one time. In your post, though, you boasted nonstop about all the great things you do to help others. This is the very core of elitism, which you claim to despise: "I'm a better player than you all because of THESE things that I do!"

One can be an altruist AND an elitist, it seems.

I'd even go as far as saying that the majority of people who use the term "elitists" on others usually have no idea what it means in the first place. Worse yet, they often are much closer themselves to being elitists than the ones they accuse of being it.
