Still waiting on a few models to send in voice work, and the judges and I have begun the deliberations! Soon my children, SOON! I've laid in the skeleton pictures for most of the models for Episode 1, and it's looking pretty nifty. Super excited for this!

At first I had a different concept in mind, the first of these two being my placeholder while I worked on it a bit more:

However, I wanted an alternative concept to choose between, so I played around with battle-effects, and found this:

It was sooo tricky catching the effect at the right time, however, and most were too dark...

Or too bright...

I had a lot of favourites:

Picking one was more scary than the theme for this round! x_x

5. Rhaya Relanah: Another picturesque picture versus storytelling. I love the effect you're using and the shadows it's casting on you and I love the movement in your skirt. If only it wasn't for that floating, monster head... >A>()

Rhaya Relanah - I'd like to submit this to SE. You need to be a boss in Haukke Manor Extreme Mode. You look like you are summoning and controlling Valefor himself.

I've been writing critiques privately lately - it's super difficult, especially since I've been trying to do it with my own submissions as well, but it helps me think about all shots in more depth and I notice what things I value higher than others, how it either coincides or differs with the way other people look at the pictures. I love reading critiques, voters' and judges' both, regardless if I agree with them or not. There's always something to take away from it, a learning process that never ends - and it's fun!

Aaaaaagh, I love that one, but it's not scary... X3 Well, not as scary as the 3D demon rushing the screen every time I look at the submissions! *makes everyone a drink this round* *shake shake shake*

Was in the area.

Decided to take a shot.

Outtakes! It didn't take me long to figure out what I wanted to do, so apologies for the lak of screenshots! Anyway, here were some strong contenders for my top pick!

I liked this one, but the theme was to be creepy. Fighting back doesn't bring that sense of creepiness, so I scrapped this one.


Decided to try something else at this point. I liked this one in particular because of the way the succubus was posed. Sent it into oblivion because of the negative space on my right.


And this one is where I found out that the succubus has glowing eyes during her Sweet Steel attack.


This one had less, but it didn't stand out to me so I burned it.


This one HAD potential, but the succubus didn't look threatening.

AND SO. I WENT TO TAKE ANOTHER PICTURE TO APOLOGIZE FOR THE LACK OF VARIED OUTTAKES. pleasedonthurtme *sob*

I don't have a shot for this particular round - however, my notes and discussions with my friends were this:
To keep with my style, it would be slightly comical/whimsical
3 of my friends would come Ninja and wear the ghost costume from Halloween, but use hide to be semi-transparent
Pose in various places in the music room
I would be sitting at the piano preparing to serenade the spirits!

Something along those lines. Hehe!
