So uh anyone found a good dye for the i130 weapon besides pure white?

There's no way you can justify using Crafted i110 pants is better than the 11 STR difference an i130 item gives you.Very. That makes THIS our new BiS.
It's 73 Crit vs. 11 STR and 8 Det - So, yeah, crafted is better by about 3 points.

Am I missing something? I just did the math myself, and it doesn't even come close...It's 73 Crit vs. 11 STR and 8 Det - So, yeah, crafted is better by about 3 points.

Arachne gearscore: 39+(41*.214)+(29*.336) = 57.518
Augmented Ironworks Hose: 50+(23*.336) = 73.336
There's not even a comparison...
While it is not better in total and the i130 is the better of those two sets. The sets as a whole come out a lot closer than just comparing pants alone. Better to look at the whole picture.
So the set with the crafted pants have 112.05 effective STR using the new values that Dervy posted. The full i130 set has 104.678 effect STR. However, once we add in the +377 (set with crafted) and +388 (full i130) STR along with your base racial STR on Monk the i130 set will come out on top, but not by a great deal. So as a Seeker of the Sun I'd have 754.05 effective STR with the crafted pants set and 757.678 effect STR in the i130 set.
So 3.628 difference total. The difference isn't so huge when the whole picture is looked at. However, the crafted stuff just isn't in a lot of people's price range even if it was marginally better. If you got the money they can make for good stand-in pieces while waiting for drops though.
Edit: I ran through that math really fast as I was leaving the office for something. So apologizes if I figured something up wrong. No time to double check right now!

Full DET set is only 1 point of effective strength lower and allows you to use Black Truffle instead of Flint Cavier.
Personally I choose the DET set since black truffle risotto is much less of a hassle to obtain
.
Ok, so first, Ironworks = 57.728, not 73.336.
And, yeah, while in the calculator this morning I was comparing a select few pieces. Ironworks do come out above crafted by 3.13 points. However, I also discounted Skill Speed when I was playing with it. Cause, ew (usually). But, it does carry a decent weight.
With that added in, BiS for MNK this patch is this.
So, if you plan on building for BiS, it is better to sub-in the crafted pants vs. Ironworks until you get your drop (this is what mislead me originally). Even though, when doing this, crafted pants only come out 0.218 above.
Building around Black Truffle, It's only a 0.78 difference from BiS. I'm not sure what set you're looking at but this one has 411 DET.

It's pretty awesome and the one I'll probably use.

I just round up. 411 seems right to be where I am look at.
