I was really hoping for this feature. I enjoy having my own house but it gets lonely.

I could only imagine the s%÷* storm that would have followed if they implemented this.
"So I have to marry someone just to share my house? OMG maybe I don't want to marry a man or another woman, FU SE quit forcing me to do this!"
"WTF I can only share my house with one other person? But 3/4 of us saved up for this, you are screwing us!"
"OMG me and my sister pitched in for a house, now we have to get married to share it? Are you promoting incest SE?"
Etc. Etc.
They need to add permissions for everyone instead of just the eternal bond system. Much less problems that way.
It does not have to have anything to do with the marriage system.. It could be room mates.. Most thought it would be implemented at this time so those who got married could share a house not necessarily part of it.I could only imagine the s%÷* storm that would have followed if they implemented this.

Just allow the owner to choose rights for things like garden, mender, choco stable etc.

That is exactly what I'm saying. It shouldn't have anything to do with the marriage system and should be implemented for everyone or not at all. However the thread is about how it was expected to be part of the marriage system.It does not have to have anything to do with the marriage system.. It could be room mates.. Most thought it would be implemented at this time so those who got married could share a house not necessarily part of it.

I think it would have to be for all... It would be too hard to only give those that are married just the rights.. Easier to give it to everyone..

I'd be down for letting people have a room in my Mansion.
50k gil a month rent. Don't pay up? I boot you out!
Oh man... the fun I could have being an e-land lord.
Not entirely on topic, but why would $E care if a marriage is "fake" or not. Why would anyone care? It's a video game... ( - . - ;
I married the first person I met after the patch ( > . >
No one's marriage reasons is better than the other's marriage reasons, be it to live happily ever after, or be it a chocobo mount. It's all fake marriages anyway since it's all not real.
And besides, $E themselves don't refer it as "marriage" (Eternal Bond).
Just been seeing a lot of comments of players thinking their marriage is more important than others because this and that, it's not.
