That they need Alexandrite does not change the fact they do not have to put time into Spiritbonding or farming gil for materia ..... They are simply getting an advantage because they are getting an easy way to obtain gil in-game. Yes gil is easy to get for everyone, but unless you can show me to get 10 million in just 5 minutes all your points are INVALID.

unless you can show me how 10 mil gil can instantly make you "win the game", without any skill or work whatsoever, your point is also invalid.

"win the game" defined as: completed final coil w/ a full set of i135 BiS gear, 8 fully 4 star BiS crafters and gatherers w/ all mastercraft books and related achievements, or all achievements unlocked.

unless one of these are achieved, you arent paying to win. you may be paying for progress, but its going to take a lot more than that to do anything notable.
