I know right? They seem to still be in constant fire-fighting mode rather than a normal development life-cycle. I'm hoping that it changes for 3.0.

Managing customer's expectations is important and they don't do a good job of it. They opt for radio silence instead. If we knew what was coming in advance, people would still grumble, but the shock factor would be gone.

The more likely reality is that all income from the cash shop will just go into developing more cash shop stuff to sell (read: cutting pre-existing content to sell at a premium).
How do you know that? Just because the forums said so? The forums have cried about a lot of things that have proven untrue.

I'm surprised it only took til about the end of page 1 for it to start. Expected at least two more pages.

They should add a cash shop in the cash shop so that you can all spend more money paying for the items three times (including your sub).

You know what? SE should add a cash shop to the forum too! You have to buy a pass to go over the limit 1000 char without editing. You need to buy a license to have a signature and access more emoticons, you need to buy a certification for forum mods to report your comments to the devs, etc.

I'm sure a lot of mentally challenged players would fall for it since they already fell for the game cash shop. And, since SE's interest is solely milking its player base, no problem right?

LOL cash shop! SE's way to tell their player how they appreciate them... pull the carrot and empty your pockets $$$
And to those who support it: you are kicking yourselves. -- We just need to sit back and laugh at people with cash shop items.

Honestly the cash shop doesn't bother me. I'd much rather the cash shop they have here, than they have in so many other MMOs (F2P models) where gacha system and actual content being provided at cost with no ability to get it in game. A true sense of "Pay to Win" where only those who fork over a ton can compete in the end. WoW has something similar with their mounts and pets, and I don't see any harm there, and they are a subscription based game as well.

There is plenty of fluff stuff in-game that isn't gated by real money. If you absolutely must have every mount or every pet, or the dye they released in the shop, and so on, what harm is 20 dollars here, or a few dollars there. In the end it'll never cost the same as how much it can cost in a free to play game.

(Some of these games have events for "limited time only" content and vanity stuff that provide stat benefits to their wearers and it'll cost players upwards to 300+ dollars for those less fortunate to have the luck. I'd rather any day of the week pay the monthly subscription +20 dollars (every three or four weeks when they add a batch of content) for a guaranteed vanity item than a "chance" at it. )

Been pretty busy lately. Alright to support my own thread, I will say this, I do support some of the arguments others have been complaining such as the sell of dye and the trading/selling of the wedding ring/bracelet for in-game gil but everything else can stay in the cash shops since they have no impact in the game. I would suggest that maybe the dye be taken off the shops and make the wedding ring/bracelet a unique item that is non-trade-able/sell-able.

Other than that, I fully support the Cash Shop as long as they stop making these small mistakes of not making item bind-only upon purchase. The impact this can have on the economy in the game can be severe and can potently cause inflation in the market place by having too much gil.

I support the cash shop. I purchased 5 metallic red dyes, and it granted me a turn 9 win!
