You know it ticks me of somewhat that while I struggling with gil in-game (and money in RL), that people with too much RL money can just waltz in and make a ton from the MB while I struggle to sell much of anything.

How are you struggling with gil? its easy as heck to make.

Come to Jenova, and join our FC. I can personally make sure you almost never have trouble keeping your coffers full, and your characters in HQ gears.

Not everyone has every class at 50 with maxed out HQ recipes and mats, crafting all day till the sun sets and then playing Market Board Tycoon.

Some have little free time, and use it to enjoy the basic combat experience, be it in FATEs, HUNTs, Duty Roulettes or some Labyrinth or Syrcus Tower here and there.

For those 'casual' people (or people who don't wanna zip through content like I did in other games only to get bored later on), seeing people who worked their ass off to earn Gil in game is fine, especially if they had more time to do so (IE: Joined the game before)

Seeing people just pulling Gil out of thin air thanks to their real life $$$ despite having little to no time playing the game is letting a sour aftertaste in our mouth. Oh well

You will get there, there is no point to think there is a need to rush. Level your crafters and gatherers and then you will find yourself already spending less money, you will notice more money going up and also you'll have the ability to sell more in the market board.

And if they are practiced enough to do that content, chances are they already were able to obtain equivalent gear in-game.

I may have tens of millions of gil, but I still haven't and can't clear tam tara or stone vigil HM. I'm not skilled enough, no matter how much gil I make.

you're kidding right ? It takes no skill to clear any of the dungeons. The only prerequisite is to have a brain. And maybe smash buttons when no AoE appears on the screen. i110 HQ just carries you through all of the dungeons currently available unless you stand here AFK in AoEs.

if people took the time, maybe I would be able to clear it. but I have run both of those dungeons a total of 12 times apiece. both of them I went in, some idiot dps said "Your going too slow", pulled half the dungeon, I wiped, they said "You suck" and vote kicked me. 24 dungeons total just for those I have been votekicked for not being good enough. I gave up after that, and im a crafter now.

and before anyone asks, I used hunts in 2.3 to gear my chars. nothing else.

Gil =/= skill. time =/= skill, if you spend it that way.
