I suppose a bow used by Samurai fits a Bard well then doesn't it, as Bards are well known for being Samurai and having all sorts of Samurai based armour, equipment and origins.

Is it just me or are the SMN and SCH relics the wrong way round? The SCH Last Resort has the aetheryte crystal on top of it which is explained in the Veil of Wiyu lore as being a SMN thing... the SMN Apocalypse is purple which is the SCH colour scheme. What the hell?
I forgot in every FF game only a Samurai job could use it and you had to defeat Nasu no Yoichi himself to obtain it.
Sarcasm aside, who cares. FF is known for using mythology from around the world in their games, their way.
People that don't want a terribly designed relic weapon care. Quite a few of the weapons don't fit lore, or class, and they're supposed to be the summary of your class represented in a weapon. The Dragoons weapon is also an example of poor design. As are the SMN and SCH books.

Every Bard in the game minus Jehantel / Gilbert the Godsbow uses a separate harp, which actually makes sense if SE adds new songs with a future level cap using different instruments for aesthetics purposes.People that don't want a terribly designed relic weapon care. Even the lore before Gilbert's time (person behind the design of Atremis) states Bards were bowmen of eld, who sang in the heat of battle to fortify the spirits of their companions and doesn't even mention instruments. Gilbert was also well known for his voice. Yes, he is a Legendary Bard. However, there is little known about the Eld and even the Twelve Archons of Eld yet.
But Bards have absolutely nothing to do with Samurai. Why is a bow that is supposed to resemble the Bard class, a bow with nothing to do with a bard. The only thing it has going for it is that it's a bow, which is better than what the Dragoon has going for it, because that thing isn't even a lance and has nothing to do with Dragoons.Every Bard in the game minus Jehantel / Gilbert the Godsbow uses a separate harp, which actually makes sense if SE adds new songs with a future level cap using different instruments for aesthetics purposes.

Again you are basing the bow purely by its mythology in the real world when this is a Fantasy game. Yoichi was in FFII and there was no Samurai. Historically in FF it didn't touch a Playable Samurai job until XI where it shared the bow with Ranger. But Bards have absolutely nothing to do with Samurai. You are basically saying Excalibur can only be wielded by Uther and Arthur or "The One True King".
