1.I don't tend to lag, so I don't worry about it. Also, I hate RMT's more than lag, but that's me.
2.I group with my linkshell... and HATED looking for a party for hours in ffxi, and actually didn't tend to play with random players anyway. Personal choice, but while a seeking party flag would be nice, it's not super necessary, but yes, that would be helpful.
3.I conserve anima, and since I am one of the mages of which you speak, it i just as annoying to be constantly asked if you can tele someone somewhere just because you had the gaul to walk through down dressed as a Mage.
4. I play with a gamepad, so the keyboard issues don't affect me greatly. (Played FFXI that way too)
5.Yes, I happen to like the zones, especially since I know there will be new maps one day. Also, there are underused parts of each map now. And while yes, there are obvious copy+paste parts of the map, there's also plenty of interesting things on each map that they are slowly making more important via the storyline and quests.
6. I have no trouble finding and selling items in the market wards. The only thing I wish they'd add to the actual markets is a sort not only the item but the quality of said item. (+1,+2,+3)
Bard is coming... so you at least get one of your wishes
My main point was this, if you expect this game to be FFXI-2 then you're going to be disappointed. FFXI is still out there and still has a community of dedicated players who play it. And while it is okay for you to want these things, it is just as okay for others of us to NOT want that.
