Ya no. FFXI had a huge RMT problem and never had to resort to this shit.

FFXI came out before the era of cash shops. FFXIV being its spiritual successor came during the era of cash shops so that is why the cash shop is here to stay. I don't care about the cash shop either way. I just think people are wasting their time complaining about it because it won't get removed. You're better off complaining about other things which I've stated before but no one reads previous posts so I end up repeating myself to people.


EDIT: I clarified my comment for the poster below since he doesn't like reading whole sentences to realize what I mean by this. I am also at my post limit for awhile so toodles for now. Enjoy your unproductive day of criticism that you could have used towards others things you actually have a chance of changing. I'd love to find what exactly I'm trying find an excuse for but it will have to wait until later. I already said I don't care about the cash shop either way but I can understand why SE implemented it based on other mmos utilizing it for profits. I also realize the cash shop is here to stay despite the people complaining. At least by using this method for eternal bonding everyone has access to all the vanity and mounts of marriage and its reducing some of RMTs profits at the same time. If the bracelets were untradeable can you imagine how many more people would be upset?
