I would like to collect the whole collection of winter clothing from Zara, but damn I have to pay for it? What sorcery is this?? Better round up some people and start a protest cause I paid like tons of taxes to this country man.How at all did my post elude to people being locked from an achievement? I clearly stated that people play the game for that content, only saying that there are gearsets that exist for achievements. That was merely to validate a point that it is content for players.
to simplify, People like collecting full sets of gear for the look. They want to take advantage of the glamour system. Now to take full advantage of that system, I need to pay extra. That could be someones sole reason for playing this game and now they are forced to pay for the full experience.
Make sense?
Sure, and you're not gating the content behind the cash shop because you can still do coil, just without the chance of loot after the first weekly clear!
It's because anything relating to XIV 1.0 they want to separate from ARR (which is why you can't even upload 1.x stuff to youtube anymore) because they don't want to confuse people.

So if you want PDFs relating to XIV 1.0, that's going to be harder to find now that ARR is the focus version.
Well it's a good thing I didn't ask you then! =D

Well this is good clarification for anyone who thinks this isn't going to get worse. It is only going to get worse, and they plan specifically on developing items just for the cash shop that can't be obtained without paying. The president of the company saying they need to create more items specifically to be sold in the cash shop. There you have it folks.
See how easy it is when you ask instead of snip at people Schnei?

This response means what? How is this contributing to the point I stated?
So I'm only allowed to give positive feedback otherwise I get responded to with whatever the above is?
Constructive response plz
Okay, let me break things down for you.
- SE placed optional vanity items behind cash shop.
- Players unhappy because they deem those items as personal achievement ("omg, I must have that but I am unwilling to pay more").
- Proceed to flood General Discussion forum with many QQ threads.
- General Discussion reduced to a complain/protest subforum rather than a discussion forum (people demanding answers from Devs).
Clear enough?
Thats much clearer than whatever that last post was, But again they are deemed as content because they are content that is important to people playing this game (thats what they play with when they log in). People are going to keep making these threads because they want their opinion to be heard. The biggest arguement at the moment is that of vanity not being content, and this wedding content being behind the paywall. Just because feedback isn't positive doesn't mean it should be instantly shot down.Okay, let me break things down for you.

Customers make complaints, that's what the forums are for... Trolling them doesn't help, what he quoted was nothing but ad homim trolling.Okay, let me break things down for you.

Your use of strawman arguments is only exceeded by Fox News.Meaning leveling, gear, exp, crafting are all things you aren't forced to participate in so why not add them to the cash shop too? You're not forced into anything, and everything you do in this game is optional because the game itself is optional so trying to argue what doesn't affect you or what you aren't interested in is fine in the cash shop is stupid. If that's the case then everything belongs in the cash shop, and make no mistake it will end up there eventually too.
Indeed, if we are 75% of database, but the other 25% wants cash shop stuff... Be sure they'll pay attention to that 25%.
