not making up stuff at all, BUT, I hear rumors that killing mobs increases the item drop rate for chests. Also, why would I want to wade through tons of mobs and waste time killing them when I can just sleep them and despawn them?

Sounds like what people used to say for FFXI Dynamis Xarc... We can't spend time on all these other mobs to kill Dynamis Lord!! but look at it years later, people doing it fine killing most mobs![]()
It's all about the strategy you put into it, there may be other gimmick people haven't found out yet also.

Currently, I'll just stick to my belief. With the current state of the game, with the best gear, and with perfectly timed BRs on everything, with a Lancer, 5 archers, and 2 healers (lol) I'd say you can't kill every enemy and finish the entire dungeon.
its possible done it so many times alreadyI'm asking this question seriously. Is it possible to kill all the mobs, Deepvoid Slave, and Batraal in 60 minutes? We're tight on time even when we rush to the Slave and skip everything else, then tackle Batraal.
I suppose you could be suggesting to increase the dungeon timer to compensate. Which makes sense too, I suppose.
I think you misunderstand the meaning of zerg. Zerg is bringing in alot more players than required to something. Perhaps training is the better term to define what you so abhor.
^this. You have to state the intent of the run before going into the dungeon. Are you going just for chests? You're going to have to fight most of the monsters and probably not kill Batraal. Are you going in to finish the dungeon? Skip the monsters and other treasure, maximize time for Batraal.Nah, I don't see a problem.
Like Yoshi said, there's more than one way to approach the dungeon. I see groups whose goal is the end boss, and I see groups who go in there to grind through the trash mobs for SP. They would have to increase the time limit if they forced you to fight through all the mobs to get to the end, and I for one like the 60 minute time limit. You have to know what you're doing before you enter.
Can't we have one addition to the game that isn't needlessly changed?

But I'd seriously record it and show that it was possible to do... but as of right now, I don't think it can be done.

You would have to kill every single monster in the dungeon before hitting the circles + Deepvoid Slave + Batraal in 60 minutes. That means all the extra rooms, and at that point you might as well grab all the chests too.
I think the instance is fine. There are options to it, instead of the instance dictating how you must tackle it, which is very nice to have.
Secondly, to the OP, if you're not a fan of the parties that people make (I can understand, not everyone likes to do things the same way) my suggestion would be to start creating your own parties and underlining your goals to the group beforehand, I'm sure you'll find more like-minded folks who want the challenge of clearing the trash + instance.
In the meantime, I'ma run from the toads/hypos/moles/etc... Sh*t's scary.
