    Because what would happen is people would clear it with 7 ppl and give 1 person the drops they need. Rinse and Repeat for each member.

    With the slow release of relevant top tier endgame content there would not be enough content to last.

    SE should of just did it like like this. Clear it with 8 new ppl for the week garenteed full drops. Clear it with 1+ ppl who cleared make it like dungeons in 1.X where you get 90% darkmatter, 10% chance of gear.

    I do not see anyone doing the method they have now, unless it is monday night people are not going to just voluntarily give up loot to practice. Still does not solve the what happens if your static is missing 1 member for a night problem. Still left with the choice of screwing that person over or 7 ppl being bored.

    This isn't necessarily a bad thing. Not only will this cause people to run FCoB more often (because they actually can), more people would be willing to do it due to statics being unnecessary, and by using a loot lockout you ensure the content lasts for quite a bit. Obtaining an entire set of Dreadwyrm would take 11 weeks, 12 for PLD. The key to this is that EVERYONE will get loot every week. This system isn't perfect, however, as it does allow for content selling (probably the main reason they're implementing the system they're actually implementing) and it also hinges on how quickly you can progress through the turns (IE if you're not clearing T11 by the 2nd or 3rd week, you might not be getting main job loot anymore for the week, etc). You also are only allowed 1 piece per week, so people who get lucky and get multiple pieces in a single week no longer would have that luxury. It also allows for everyone to get their respective weapon as long as you've cleared T13, though that could be both good and bad. I'm personally fine with the system being implemented as long as it works as speculated, but I do think the loot lockout is better than what we have now in general.
