    REMOVE WEEKLY FCOB LOCKOUT PRIOR TO EXPANSION!!!!!

    Dear Dev Team,

    Since the expansion will be introducing a level increase and the old content including the FCoB will be presumably obsolete have you guys considered unlocking the weekly lockout before the expansion hits? It would be nice to be able to farm the latest content before it is totally useless. If you guys were to do something like that in 2.5x I am sure it would be well received by everyone!

    Sounds fine to me. I have a feeling they might do that in 2nd half of patch 2.5 rather than the first part.

    Who says that i130 gear will be useless when the expansion hits? I think it's more likely that i130 gear at level 60 will be similar to how i110 gear is now, and how i90 gear was in the previous patches. The best gear at level 60 could just be i150 and follow the same stat progression.

    I heard this too!! Is it true?? Can anyone confirm?

    That Reddit link talks about huge loot restrictions. Well, at least we can help statics short a player now if this is really happening.

    Oh they were talking about implementing this during fan fest. The weekly gear lockout will not get lifted but the access lockout will. So basically you can go through to coil again to help a friend out who will receive reduced gear if that is their first time completing in the week. It would make sense if they released it during this patch since they were considering doing it at 2.4 launch but weren't able to at that time.

    Sound like a good plan, to be honest I'm looking forward at what will be the 2.45 lockout entry removal and loots, I'm secretly hoping for a personal weekly-loot lockout by different turn (1 drop for 1 person by turn) it would sound fair and balanced while not making the last chapter of crystal tower trilogy irrelevant.

    edit : ah well nevermind, just saw Archulak reply, if what they said in the link is true, people will most likely not use the lockout-entry removal at all.

    After reading this I don't see the incentive on why anyone would want to do this unless there are 12-15 people you want to raid with (2-3 of which you can carry). Or if you're missing 1-3 people for the week and are need of a competent replacement(s) who don't mind coming again even though they cleared for the week already. I guess they implemented this in mind of increasing the replacement pool if you have no shows.

    Raid is usually unlocked pre expansion in other MMOs for everyone to try it out before its outdated content. So I wouldn't worry. The system they're implementing sounds cool, but I'm fairly certain we'll get a full unlock in 2.55 or something. Still, nice to know they'll be letting people help their friends out even with the restrictions on it.

    As stated in the question: To help teach people mechanics, that's the purpose of it. We have our core raiding group in FC and then a few friends/family there too. At times we're trying to help them with Turns they haven't completed but it's very hard to try and diagnose the exact issues they're having without seeing them play the turns first hand. I imagine most groups with this will actually just use this to have extra time training on the turns and then if they get close to the bosses, 5% say, just wipe it.
