where did you read a complain on my part is beyond my understanding, I am asking why on Earth people are afraid of..a game? is that a complain ? no. Are you complaining because then the question is on you. Same for my thoughts, when you discuss is in no way a complain otherwise forums could well cearse to exist in regards that anything can be seen as a complain, make sure you do know the meaning of complaining vs discussing and exchanging views and opinions there is a huge different, or are you complaining about people that are not of your opinion ???
MeiIf you believe this constitutes a civil discussion and not whining... I have no words. Why the heck is that a FEAR???? why would you even care of it to be or not to be in a cash shop? if you want one you buy it if you cant you dont...and if it doesnt drop ..which is very much RNG, then it doesnt and if it doesnt exist anymore in-game it doesnt...walk ...you know seriously people..at times you scare me......you give so much importance to a game that is frightening ...is like it was a matter of life and death...
nobody forces you to buy anything and if you really want the cash shop to go...nobody should buy anything from there..but guess what..out of 100 people only maybe 0.5 people never will use it...most of the people in here if not all are also very much hypocrites...all claim not to want it but behind the scenes use it to buy this or that one...
Really? 5 dollars for a minion, 25 dollars for a mount is -huge-? Get real! And the reason why people are outraged about this, is because SE pay their employees to create the items in the cash shop along with their other duties and then having them charge us huge amounts of money for the privilege to own that exclusive item, that item should have been included in the standard continued development cost that we as consumers pay for, but a section of that content is essentially cut off and sold back to us.
Fact is, since the Cash shop was introduced, we've not had a -decrease- in the amount of content we get in each patch. So, no, there is no problem there. Our sub fee grants us access to the game, nothing more. If they want to charge for something on the side, that's their prerogative, If you, as a customer do not like the additional service offered, you do not have to opt in to purchase said service. By your standing opinion, it's wrong for them to offer two different options for service account as well right? Because you pay your 12.99 service fee, you deserve everything that's in the 14.99 fee as well, right? Wrong.
The thing that people in the NA/EU playerbase don't seem to be capable of grasping or comprehending is that just because you pay a subscription fee, you do not have a right to control or dictate what they, as a company do.
It is Tuesday December, 9th. Which they have been on a pretty consistent schedule for updates since launch. Sorry to burst the bubble

Yeah, but isn't it a bit early to say whether they're including more or less than previous patches? It is Tuesday December, 9th. Which they have been on a pretty consistent schedule for updates since launch. Sorry to burst the bubble

I'd like to see what fantastic new content the cash shop is funding for us. We were getting high quality, large updates every 3 months without it. I wonder if they're going to increase the frequency of the patches or the size of them, or, more likely, just divert dev time to the more profitable cash shop.
I WANT WINDUP NANAMO
I took your comment as rate of updates, my apologies. I get where you're coming from, but it has to be stressful to always be living in a state of worry, panic & general mistrust. I get where you're coming from, you love the game and you want it preserved, that's ok. But, assuming all that will happen also assumes the people making the game aren't smart and that's also not good. Will they add more stuff to the cash shop, you bet they will. Will it be stuff you like or dislike, who knows? Either way, the team has proven a few things. They know how to bring about good will from a broken game and community. They know how to build systems that are enjoyable. They know how to work with the marketing teams to not put damaging items to those systems in the cash shop. I know this is the sticky point, but the fact is, none of those items impact the core of the game, the battle, dungeons and gear. I get you man, but just learn to live a little more loose.
Lol, it's fine, that's what I assumed you interpreted it to mean.I took your comment as rate of updates, my apologies. I actually stopped my sub for this game last week (though the sub runs out in like 3 months, lol. I've always paid 6 months at a time). Because the core of the game is now battle, dungeons and the gear treadmill. Used to be levelling, economy and community.
But that's another topic, and I'm aware that I sound like an old man shouting at clouds. :s

While you and I disagree on one aspect of the former game's focus (economy), the sentiment is the same. I've been watching my days tick down until it runs out less than a week from now, and I'm just not compelled to pull the trigger on renewing. Even Warlords being mostly meh hasn't made me seriously consider coming back to XIV. Loading up the cash shop the way they are, using development time we already paid for, is a slap in the face. There's a lot of things that have turned me off over the last year or so, and it's sad, because YoshiP had it on such an upswing.
