Bard has songs which restore TP, Mana and increase the dps of the party. Black Mage has Aetherial Manipulation, Apocatastis and Manawall which are useful . Summoner has battle resurrection which is useless in Coils because it's a dps loss on top of our already low damage and if a Summoner has to rez during Coils it's a wipe anyways.
Just curious. SMN used to be talked about as having the highest sustained DPS. At what point did it suddenly drop to being one of the lowest? I love the job and will continue to play this and NIN as my mains, but I'd like to know when SMN fell off the DPS mountain.
