I doubt it - for pretty much all the game, the Ascians despite their malevolent presence and constant manipulations behind the scenes, have been downright reluctant to actually come out in the open and actually fight. Lahabrea seemed to be an exception rather than the rule - and that was only after the player disposed of both his little toy and thrall that he finally decided to get his hands dirty. Elidibus only attacked Minfilia because she was in the way, but once she was incapacitated he took off. The other Ascians the player has encountered have always fled before the player could engage them, usually leaving some other monster to fight for them.

So yeah, I actually doubt we're going to fight any of them, other than maybe a rematch with Lahabrea. Somehow I see them all sacrificing themselves to fuse into Zodiark and that is what we will have to fight, not the Ascians individually.

Actually Elidibus out right states he only attacked Minfilia because she drew her weapon at him. He said he was an Envoy which means messanger, and it ancheint times it was considered taboo at best an act of war at worst to treaten a diplomat or messanger that was peacfully representing his/her nation. So the fact that Minfilia pulled her knife on Elidibus was the only reason he attacked her. though he also expresses the fact that he's aparently the first Envoy to visit Eorzia in quite a while so Mifilia probably drew her Knife out of shock, after all an Ascian in a White robe is still an Ascian for all she knew white robes could have meant he was an assasin or an even more powerful mage than Lahabrea.

This. And also Elidibus explains that Laha is a soldier, if I recall correctly, that's why he was a bit different than the others who keep distance.
