Put all the features in both plans, mount and dress options on the same plan and call it Eternal Bonding. No paywalls, no player segregation, no cheap moneygrab. Give us the content we are paying for already.

That's how it should have been, and what most people probably expected. This is the first P2P game that makes me feel like I am a freeloader in a F2P.
Actually, me and my wife will not be getting married now, we had a lot of plans cause of course, we expected this to be all ingame as it should be. We expected maybe some crafting involed and thats ok. But putting half the service behind a paywall or just getting a cheap piece of "remainings" which is what it feels like, is just not ok.
SE, you have just ruined Eternal Bonding for all who were interested on it in a way or the other.
I agree with op but this is going to happen every time they add anything to the cash shop.
I was really looking forward to gold saucer and the card game they have announced but i can see them putting packs for the cards in the cash shop
so not looking forward to it anymore ; ;

Has it even been confirmed to be a paid service? I can't find anything yet people is posting as if it was confirmed. Start preparing for this already. They announced an all round FF App for iOS a while back in japan. One of the features on said app is a triple triad minigame which will be integrated with its FFXIV version but can also be played on its own. This is most likely going to mean micro-transactions since SE is actually infamous for how ridiculous they become with mobile transactions(Check: theatrhythm and all the bravest for mobile to see what I mean.)
Not trying to act like it's not a big deal, but I'm just glad it's not locked behind a bunch of allied seals or gil. My fiance bought Odin's mount the day it came out, so we'll be getting the gold plan without a doubt.
Well, time to expect booster packs for triple triad to cost 1.99 lol.
They announced in the live letter today there will be two options for eternal bond, a free version which includes the basics like the rings the quest and the ceremony, as well as a paid version which will include additional options for clothing as well as the mount (and a minion ?).
