I still have small plots up for grabs on my server. Though, I'm sure this will vary by world (legacy,etc). I'm sure the demand is still there, it's just not prevalent. People have either grabbed a spot, bought a FC house, changed goals, moved on or decided an FC room is good enough.

Silly to think that there is no demand when people are willing to pay 12 mil to buy the chance to purchase a small plot.

Really? What servers? I'm on a legacy world and there are still plots available in the new subdivisions. As people consolidate homes with eternal bond, or quit the game, or upgrade leaving old ones behind, or later if they make deeds tradeable, we just might have enough housing now.

Um I think you are reading it wrong, the 2nd part of that sentence is in relation to the question asked not the demand of land itself.

In this the question is asking will they increase the limit of the amount of furniture, in which they respond

They are prioritizing addition of land first and they don't know the demand in which people want to add additional furniture so they haven't focused on that first.

You have to keep in mind, by increasing the furniture cap it also increases stress on the server and what they've done instead is prioritize the amount of land that can be bought over adding any additional item limits to the current housing.

Think of it like this
Say small=20, medium=40 and large=80.

If you then increase the limit by 10 each then you are pretty much adding one half a small house per small/medium/large house and that in itself would mean there is more data going throughout the servers that needs to been kept in check.

Q23: In the expansion we will be going to Ishgard, but will you be implementing housing areas in Ishgard as well?

A23: The war between humans and dragons is still being fought in Ishgard and it’s not really a safe place to live, so we will not be implementing housing areas at the beginning of the expansion. While we may implement it at some point in the 3.0 series, we aren’t at the point where we can promise any kind of time frame.

This question would be more related to what the OP was talking about. This is disappointing to me and my FC because we'd be saving up with the assumption that there'd be Ishgard housing wards at launch or very soon after launch. It seemed logical to us that this should happen based on the state of current housing wards on our server. We literally have 0 small plots left on the server in both the main divisions and subdivisions. They were all sold out within 2 weeks of the new subdivisions being implemented and we believed there to be a need for even more housing wards to meet this housing deficit. Sigh... At least we'll be able to channel the funds gathered so far towards airship and better prizes for fc events. :/

Smallest house available in the Lavender Beds on Balmung is Medium at about 15m. I haven't checked the other housing areas, but I imagine it's probably the same there. So, yeah, there are plots available, but they're a bit pricey if you want a house to yourself.

Lavender Beds is always going to go first. I did a check and the only area there are (quite a few) smalls left, are in The Goblet. But tbf it's been a while since the new housing was added. The fact you can still get a small out there I do think says a lot, actually.

Just checked the other places. Cheapest plot is a Medium Goblet house for 14,880,000 gil.

Balmung and (i believe) Excalibur sold out all small lands like a day after the patch, in all housing areas.
