    about paladins

    Im healer and with tanks i have a sort of relationship u Know...

    I m a paladin wannabe. But i must say. Y paladin seems useless when they have all those usefull skills but i never see paladin use them....why? I mean spirits within....all those combos....defensive skills as well. They just use flash and circle of scorn....mah.

    Are them all noobs?? XD

    I assume you're talking about dungeon pulls, maybe? I would hope tanks aren't trying to hold hate with just Flash.

    Flash is for AoE. Circle is for AoE and single target.

    Because alot of that stuff is kinda useless, atleast I hardly ever use more than half of my abilities. My primary job in a group is to make sure all you people don't get your hair messed up. Holding aggro only requires a few abilities, the others seem to be geared as if I was in a 2 person party. Paladin only needs a few combos and rotation of monsters too keep aggro, all that other stuff is just for show. I have never done end game content, maybe its more useful there. I think thats why alot of people say Paladin is boring to play, but I don't mind it.

    So spirits within and all those defensive moves are almost useless? There r a lot of them almost the 99% that never uses hallowed too

    If your not using cooldowns on pld your doing it wrong. Even most dungeon content doing small pulls you hit rampart or convalescence cuz that's how pld play style is. Sure you might think you don't need to but if your in a dungeon and you have a healer that's struggling with mp why not just do him a favor. Dps pull a mob off you and provoke is down (this doesn't happen much but it does) use cover and keep the dps alive, stoneskin is probably the best cross class skill you can have for damage mitigation on yourself or the other tank.

    Maybe im bad but,

    I almost never use sentinel and hallowed ground in a regular pull dungeon o3o. Rampart + Fight or fllight. Next pull, Foresight. By the next pull (3rd one now), Rampart and Fight or Flight is up almost again. repeat.

    only time i would use sentinel is big pulls and hallowed ground is if my healer is letting me die....and even then thats an issue.

    Its not thatcthe healer makes u die. Thata not correct. Sometimes it happens when all mobs use strong attacks all together in the same moment. Just earlier i was in a dung and the paladin was about to die bcoz of what i have Said before but he didnt use hallowed at all. Just healer fault. U paladin dnt have skills to help urself ryt? <_<

    Thats why i said IF.

    many times have i been in a situation where a healer would just full dps with cleric stance and let me die LOL. And this wasnt even a big pull. Probably 1 to 2 groups.

    But yea, many times its just underestimating how much one can take in / or heals

    I can heal with big groups no problem. But damn 99% of paladin standa just there with theyr swords doing absolutely NOTHING. They r watching them die but no halowed no bloodbath with spirits within no sentinel no rampart....

    Thats y i want to try paladin bcoz i want to see if theres something behind that or its just the paladin that sucks. But to be honest i dont think so. Paladin its cool. Id like to have more HOLY oriented skills. But here in ffxiv seems not. Maybe with dark Knight there Will be a holy Knight too

    I never use CDs for single pulls, maybe FoF if I know it'll be up again for the boss. No single pull in any of the dungeons will be doing much damage, but I can see popping Rampart just for the hell of it.

    Big pulls I'll either Hallowed -> Rampart + Foresight/Conv or Sentinel -> Rampart + Foresight/Conv. But that's really big pulls, 2 at a time you'll just want Rampart and whatever. Bulwark is also really good on large pulls as long as you're facing everything.
