I always want to tell each and every one of you why you guys are great so this time I did. These are not critiques; Just why you all rock cause everyone needs some ♥ now and then.
Ladies:
Adeline: Your shots take a humorous and endearing look at the world of Eorzea. I love the ‘didn’t make it’ concept as well as the outfit. I know the hat isn’t a sombrero but it kinda looks like one here.
Eirwen: You seriously nailed it. This scene looks like something out of Indiana Jones and I love all of your composition from the dry bones to every tiny detail of your outfit, jewelry and make-up. You go gorl!
Iris: Sometimes I think we psychically share a brain. All of our shots have been in the same zone or general area. Your shot also utilizes the bright puffy clouds, rolling sands and even some of that gorgeous craquelure in the ground. I love the confused lost look on your face as well as the general color and positioning. Beautiful piece.
Kaiyoko: This is another scene that looks like a shot from a movie. The look of despair and the heat wave effect bring it all together. Truly gorgeous.
Lowena: Desert sunsets are the best! Very pretty shot. You stay perfectly lovely while glaring in the face of heat exhaustion. Love the facial expression and the gladiator sandals especially. A+ shoesieees.
Overlord: It looks like you wandered the desert till you happened upon a tribe of pygmy-lalas and miqos who now worship your fabulousness out in the hot sun. But remember dear Overlord, with great fierceness comes great responsibility.
Rhaya: You always rock girl. You also used one of my favorite parts of the desert where the sand dunes are all high. Really gives that look that the desert goes on forever. The midday sun really gives your shot a lot of great contrasty colors too. It seems like the Keepers of the Moon don’t do so well in the smoldering desert sun and she’s about to give in to the heat.
Sakuraya: While some of us have given in to the heat, you’re still fighting. A true survivor! I like the way the Amalja is looking down at you and the spear crossing the screen is a trippy effect. Keep being strong girl and show them who’s fierce!
Fellas:
Adam: Man you’re kicking ass this round. Great use of costume and location. It’s as if you were out botanizing, but the brutal sun was too much to bare. The disheveled makeup and position of the sun really help set the tone.
Aidan: Can there really be too many pictures of shirtless dudes in this contest? I think not! Keep em coming! This goes for all y’all guys. Marvelous sweeping landscapes, dramatic color fades and SHIRTLESS MUSCLES! /swoon
Epsil: This just slays. You really look like a lost desert castaway that has adapted to this new harsh environment and made it your own. I love the cacti and the coeurl and most of all, the fact your character’s super abs are GLEAMING in the light. If I hadn’t already had my morning cup of coffee, I might have fainted. Keep doing the Twelve’s work good sir.
Fate: First thing I notice about this pic is that gorgeous moonlight! The moon is half submerged in clouds off in the distance and it looks like it’s casting a soft glow over your poor, passed out body. Being fierce is hard work! The next thing I like about this is the way the mesa’s are these shadowy figures on the horizon behind you. Makes the whole scene very dramatic. This is a fantastic shot.
Flare: This is my everything right now! Your shots have this great comedic flare(hur hur pun), and create fun scenes where it feels like a story is unfolding. My head cannon for this shot is that your character is a wealthy entrepreneur out to make a fortune in the desert only to find terror awaiting with a big, wormy, hongray mouth. With this positioning, that dust trail in the distance also kind of looks like it came from the giant worm chasing your nommy lalafel.
Jinx: Bringing so much perfection here, my computer monitor might melt from the utter exquisiteness. Your use of colors and shot set up here are simply glorious. The red in the sunset, your outfit and the chocobo all complement each other. Great lighting and use of the sombrero-ish hat too. This shot really sets a great dusky desert mood too.
Marik: You show that big nasty who’s boss Marik. He ruined many of my shots and I shall take great personal joy in his demise. Your shot makes me wish every round was either a lost in the desert or lost at the beach challenge so we could enjoy moar gorgeous, shirtless, man-honeys! I honestly love everything about your outfit setup from the sandals to the jewelry to the shirtless tattoos. Keep kicking ass!
Ronin: Don’t know about you but I wanna climb out and explore those distant terrain ruins. In fact, that’s what I’m imagining your character is doing: Surveying the landscape to find a way to a shadier horizons. Again, great outfit choice and colors for the gear. Simple but elegant.
