Back last year when i90 was the best you could have and people were having trouble with Titan HM, I mained a BLM.

Long story short - I started casting LB3 right as the only other person alive (tank) died. My LB hit and titan died right as I was getting knocked over the edge by a landslide.
We got the win

Fun times.

I remember leveling CNJ and battling Ifrit story mode. After we killed the nail, the other party members died meaning I had to solo him from that point on. You'd be surpirsed how far Aero and Cure can take you

There are a few bosses in the game that are completely helpless against kiting. The Chimera in cutters cry has always been my favorite since his abilities allow even a melee to get some DOTs and cooldowns off during his lightning charge up and be out kiting again before he can hit you.

That said there is a time to say die as well, if all thats left is a Drg/Mnk/Nin and the boss has 75% hp remaining it's probably best to just take a dive. Though if the party really is bad sometimes you just have to do it yourself. ^^

So back on first day of 2.4 I gunned for Shiva fight. Got into it as WAR tank. i had best gear (not by much) so I was MT. On try 3 I saw how great my group was.

Shiva is down to 2%. 1 DPS and 1 Healer standing cause I just died. DPS keeps attacking while the WHM Swiftcast Ress the other healer. Both like a boss. Once the SCH is up both DPS and WHM go down from AoE. The SCH then Swiftcast Ress me.

I provoke and run in. SCH does one heal getting me to half life. I hit Shiva once bringing her to 1%. SCH goes down. First thing on chat after that "it's a wipe." After about 15 seconds it turns into 5 people screaming "GO GO GO." Down to 110hp, no cool def cooldowns, no second wind, no increase to my life I dodge one last attack use Mercy Strike and its done.

We all know that i shouldnt have lived. Half the group tell how they literally got out of their chairs screaming. Never say die....ever

I'm not, because I've had to do similar things with Scathe and Physick on my THM. I could toss out a Blizzard every so often, but I rarely had the chance and only did it when I needed MP and the boss was casting.
