Truth be told, there are better ways they could've handled it than the hack-job they made of replacing myth with soldiery.

Soldiery tomes are incredibly slow to earn compared to earlier myth tomes, and they haven't really changed the price of items purchased with it as much as they did when they replaced Philosophy with Myth. In fact, I daresay that items are now technically MORE expensive as a result of the tomes' lessened availability.

Sure, we don't have a weekly cap but that's where the benefits end. Unless you endlessly grind the higher end dungeons, you're not getting anywhere fast with earning tomes. Not even with daily rewards. 10 measly tomes for a dungeon? 20 if I do a mid-range? I'd sooner waste that same amount of time doing something more productive.

They remove the currencies because it 'confuses' new players and 'helps' them get to the same level as everyone else, apparently ignorant of the fact it's only making the grind heavier and less satisfying in the long run. Then again, these are the same people who gave us the relentless zodiac grind so... take that as you will.
