As I've said on sunday after actually looking at a graph that tracks it. NA was/is getting hit up the butt with a mass load of data from china. As someone said before, its probably the gil spammers. Funny thing how after dcing twice last night the annoying things were everywhere all of a sudden.

Was the NA/EU servers the target of the attack, or the whole Montreal datacenter?

The NA/EU Servers = Montreal data center. At this point in time it is one in the same thing

Time for my own conspiracy theory!

WOW:WOD came out 13th. Issues in FF14 started 15/16th.

Conspiracy: Blizzard hired people to DDOS FF14 and other games so that its players might be enticed to go try out WOW's new expansion. Furthermore they are hoping other games having issues will help calm down players who were not able to play the new expansion at first due to their own DDOS/connection/queue issues. (A bit of a "See. It's not just us")

Of course that's just silliness . I just wanted to write up a conspiracy theory for fun.
