    This specifically though... You lose Greased Lightning when a mob decides to bugger off. When a mob decides to bugger off you do not suddenly hit Ten Ten Ten and get a Rabbit Medium.
    Sometimes I lose track of which one I hit last while addressing mechanics. Sometimes I hit one button twice on accident because I'm used to pressing keys multiple times between GCD to catch the queue. I'm a lot better at it now and make very few mistakes, but it took practice.

    GL stack loss is really annoying, and people have been asking for SE to extend the duration of the buff for a long while now. The only reason I can think of why they haven't is because then they'd have to actually do something about monk's insane sustained damage output, and making us lose GL stacks is easier than real balance. Also, if the boss 'buggers off' while I'm in the middle of casting raiton, I'm screwed for 20 seconds. Not as big of an issue as losing GL stacks, but see previous statement about GL stacks.

    Is it just me or have mudras become faster to weave?

    Also I'm experiencing INSANE lag in Leviathan, nearly takes about 3-10 minutes to load a map and about 1-2 minutes for the animation of each skill to proc.

    doton does 30 pot per tic. it last 24 seconds. just in case some might not know, dots tic on a 3 second global timer. that is 8 tics. 240 potency over that time. and that is somehow higher than raiton?
    the drain going to mug would make sense if mugs pot was higher, but its low as hell.
    as for the war debuff mnk debuff i used that to show it works both ways. dont have two monks? gotta kick and lose some dps. dont have a war? gotta slash and lose dps.

I have a special nickname for failures of ninja and I use it quite often (only in private channel of my static outside the game though as I really don't mind newbies) - "150 dps"

    If you get all 8 ticks from doton, it's still 120 less potency than Raiton for single target...no? Kassatsu would put Doton's total damage at almost the same as Raiton without Kassatsu.

    Oh hey look my misunderstanding of tics made me wrong about one specific move, ok. Everything else I said was true however so as I'd said I know exactly how the job will play because it's overly simple, especially compared to its XI ancestor. Anyhow, the point of me coming into this thread was to simply explain some basics about game design in terms of player experience, and to contest the laughable notion that NIN is a more difficult job than the other two melee DPS, which it isn't. The only noticeably challenging part of NIN shouldn't even really exist which is that the sluggishness of mudra makes it so you need very strict button discipline so as to avoid lag causing a failure. That's really about it. The job's simply not especially high on the difficulty curve, and even memorizing the mudra wasn't what it was chalked up to be because several combinations are non-specific which not only makes it far easier but is also completely stupid from a lore perspective.

    I've hit near 1200 with pot/Blood for blood with true strike. Heavy positioning can drop DPS by a chunk on MNK also, like on turn 12 where party stacks and stays on the flank for quite a bit of the fight. In some fights NIN will push ahead. Also I've seen DRG crit for over 2k ^_^

    If SE dont want to buff DRGs output they should increase their utility to balance. Not to mention their lower magic damage mitigation and FCoB. If they also want to keep a difference in physical and magic mitigation then give them stance similar to Clerics whereas instead of swapping MND/int figures, swapping phys and magic figures around. So say DRG has 700 phys resist, 400 magic, activate stance and they have 400 phys resists, 700 magic.

    Why the hell do you people want to nerf ninja so bad? Keep Ninja as is and buff DRG to be superior to both MNK and NIN instead as it should have been in the first place.
