    BRD 2.4 gear progression approach

just wondering how my fellow Bards started their 2.4 gear progression.

Its sad that our Ironworks Body and Legs are garbage so I started with the Ironworks Ring, got my Shiva bracelet then got Ironworks boots. Looking to get helm next. Gloves would be an option but since dreadwyrm drops in t10 so I might leave that alone for now.

Also jsut got my kirimu coat and so far have melded 3 savage aim IV materias. Looking to do the same with legs if my group dont progress that quick to t12

Ring => Neck => Feet => Head buying options should keep your Poetics spent while keeping a stash of 1,300 until you get your weapon though.

    That's pretty enough.

yeah was thinking about saving too but thought it might be better to have someone else in the group have it first. I prefer our NIN to have it first since he's stuck with Vajras and rngesus hasnt been so kind to us to give the HA dagger(havent even seen my bow yet either). Been farming it for weeks which halted our Fcob progression.

I'm going: head - feet - ring - gloves - belt - choker then I'm not so sure.

Gloves and belt should come after choker, because gloves and belt are not BiS, however they are very usable if you have enough accuracy, which as if now the best is a pentamelded Kirimu Coat. Not to forget that the dreadwyrm gloves and belt are the BiS and both drops from T10.

call me crazy but im planning on getting the Poetic pants LOl. Getting it will allow me to respec my novus to full crit/det (atm 33crit 21 det/acc) and scratch the accuracy i have on it. I have 21 acc on it and if I upgrade my auroral gloves and respec the bow to full crit det ill lose around 40 accuracy. the pants has 44, so im breakin even. the same case for the determination as well. losing about 20 det from replacing the pants but the poetic gloves give i think atleast 10 det and +10 more det from the bow. but everything else is pretty much the same as everyone. Ring > Shoes > Belt > choker > Gloves > Pants (after bow respec).

probably will just buy the top for glamour though o3o

Don't see myself getting into fcob in the immediate future ( or being lucky enough to get drops when I do coz lolrng ) so went with ironworks gloves-->belt-->ring and then will get hat and shoes. The ironworks chest/pants is truly lolworthy, so got crafted 110 pants and melded a load of crit onto it and gonna stick with sold chest until I need the acc for fcob. I also got shiva bracelet it's pretty good + saves poetics and even though the poetics choker has det on it im not sure if its worth getting before I can upgrade it as the HA choker is quite close to the ilvl 120 version of ironworks choker.

Gloves and belt can be bis if you can get accuracy from elsewhere.

Ironworks are not BiS because of accuracy issues. They are only better if you can fix your accuracy crunch with the IL130 stuff, which is adjusting your food choice and to use the Ironworks chest.

It would become a matter of choice. Eventually you can reach a configuration of 530+ acc, but your Crit/Det will be either 55X/33X or 53X/35X.

The Dreadwyrm route will be towards DET build with greater flexibility on accuracy which you might be hitting from the front during T13. Also, if Savage FCoB comes, you will need a higher acc cap too, which Ironworks set will prove to be restrictive.
