Yeap, which part to buy next always depends on what drop you have for the week.
And yeah, IL110 crafted accessories for savage!

OOoh. I wasn't even thinking about savage.
I was just thinking that if the crafted i110 accessories are as good as the i90 (crit!) then you'll be able to make them roughly as potent as some of the less ideal tome/coil i130 accessories. Like ones with skill speed, for example. AND they'll have a nice bit of vit in addition.

That's true too. And also one thing about that is, since BRD's main stat scaling is crap, if we can stack enough sec stats like how we could with 2.4, the drop in DEX can be negated with the sec stat gains.OOoh. I wasn't even thinking about savage.

I didn't get i90 crafted accs and it's just too late to go getting them now xc Going for full set of 110 crafted accs at 2....................45???

I've been trying to explain to my static why our scaling is worse than other jobs (ie, we got the bard necklace in t11 and I said our 110 HA is still better), but I don't know how to explain it. Can anyone give me a in short explanation?![]()
I'm curious to this as well. I made a topic about it recently, but I only got answers in regards to which gear was BiS (penta-kirimu vs ilvl130) and not an explanation to our apparent bad scaling.

Put it simply, your actual damage dealt per attack potency is determined by a complex string of formula (the detailed workings and number crunching is on the net, if you would bother to read it, it is like a thesis long). At the core of this string, you have a determining factor called Weapon Damage.
WD weighs the heaviest in this computation formula. You can simply see it as a soft cap or a soft ceiling also because of its strong influence in it.
BRD's weapon damage at every IL is lower than any of the other DPS classes. So 1 point increase in DEX will never see the same benefit as 1 point of increase in STR or INT in melees and casters.
Ahaaa, so bard is maybe one of the best jobs to meld then. While dex just gets lower and lower in value to us (? xD) the amount of secondary stats on eqs keeps going up and up, easily beating the poor scaling dex. Definitely getting those 110 meldable accs. Not even gonna spend poetics on bard accs .Put it simply, your actual damage dealt per attack potency is determined by a complex string of formula (the detailed workings and number crunching is on the net, if you would bother to read it, it is like a thesis long). The way I see it though, 1 dex drops in value just as much as 1 det, crit, etc etc in the same proportion. DEX would still be our master stat. The only feasible crafting piece I see is the kirimu coat, because the poetic top has so much skill speed that a melded coat would outweigh the extra DEX through the amount of crit and det it gives (and some would say even to the augmented version of the bard top)
That's not how it is or what he was saying at all. Bard scaling within it's own stats is clear, WD and Dex are the winners. Getting less out of main stat than another class gets out of their main stat doesn't mean you should value your own main stat any less. You can be jealous of your neighbors, sure, but it's still the 2nd best stat for you (after WD).
The only time I'd be ok with losing dex would be if I were swapping to a piece with less accuracy (due to being overcap) and a large secondary stat gain in crit or det.
