Ok, there's an easy rule of thumb. Look at what drops in the dungeon. Libra Eorzea and lodestone's play guide list this. See the item level of the drops? That's the ideal item level to wear for spiritbinding there. Of note, Castrum Meridianum and Praetorium are item level 50.

Halatali hard drops i70, the item i was spiritbonding was i70, i got about 5% or so spiritbond in Halatali hard.

On the flipside I did Lost City and finished my spiritbond.
