it could be but there is nothing players can do about random disconnecting, even best of the best connections can randomly dc or lag!
sadly i dont think they can do anything about this , if they add higher chance of reclaim or put a fail safe that returns items after a DC people can just abuse it, close the game if they see they going to fail!
only way they can help this is to make it a bit easier to obtain items such as sealants so it be less painful when we lose then

I disagree. It is good to have rare materials for crafting... adds value to the crafts (even though I would like extremely rare drops for extremely powerful armors, instead of long time to get ingredients for not BiS gear).

The resume option could get you back to your crafting table as soon as you are back online forcing you to finish your craft before doing anything else or forcing you to resume the craft whenever you want, but preventing you from crafting anything else, before you finish the half-made one.

I'm pretty sure the way it works now is that if you FAIL a craft (durability hits 0) you have a 10% (or so, I don't know the exact value) chance to get your materials back. 90% if reclaim is active. If you QUIT or DISCONNECT during a craft, then you have a 0% chance. I have no idea why it works this way instead of just giving you the exact same chance to reclaim as FAIL would. There's no way to abuse that.
