You're forgetting that you have a daily quest that rewards you an alexendrite map. While its true that it'd take over 40k tomes to get 75 alexendrite maps, nothing is forcing you to get 75 alexendrite exclusively through soldierly tomes.

And 200 allied seals for one alexendrite seems pretty generous, considering you get the asme amount of tomes as you would allied seals, by the time you'd get 400 soldierlies via hunt, you would've have enough allied seals for 2 alexendrites.
