    I-I don't understand.

    I'm a Bard player myself. Yes, we may have the lowest damage (well...really depends on the fight, ya know. I'm being 2nd/3rd behind two black mages in our group).
    We have a lot of mobility. Given that, and add OP DPS, Bard would be broken.
    Then you could say "Oh no, you have that 20% damage reduction when you use Mage's Ballad or Army's Paeon!" ...That is if we use it. I do all the time, but honestly. Bard is fine where they are. Although, the term bard is used wrong in this game.

    BRD is fine as is. Not sufferering DMG out put while singing is just far too op. The way it is now is fine since BRDs must think whether its worth to sing a song depending on phase.

    BRDs can already get a DMG buff from DRGs, so even the penalty from signing isn't too bad

    I would like to see damage numbers for a Bard on turret duty for T8.

    No Towers, no homing, no Brainjack, no songs.

    Then you can compare those numbers to MNK/BLM on turret duty.

    Wouldn't be surprised if BRD could do 450+ without offering any support.

    Also they play it because it's easy and because of the utility, but we are the dps job that loses dps in order to use that utility.

    the only love i want back is the effect from rain of death, before the stupid 10% evasion reduction it was 10% damage reduction

    I WANT IT BACK hell i'll settle for 5% or heck make rain of death att potency low and make enemies to be susceptible to critical hits and/or damage. idc if it tickles the balance, its so useless now quick notch is the way to go.

    It would be... the same? that's what makes bard good. Its mobility lets it keep dpsing while dealing with mechanics, dodging or kiteing. It may be low numbers per hit, but it's constant, and nothing stops you unless the mob goes invulnerable, and that would affect everyone else. Even with songs, you can't even keep them up long enough to make your dps suffer.

    Ok this has a simple answer but to start with i wonder why you think that Towers Homing or Brainack would lower our dps lol.

    And well if you would want me to not use songs i would need a dedicated Ninja or another Bard to help me out with the task and that totally beats the point of it. Since a Monk will do much better than a Bard for the same cost.

    That used to be me.
    With a Artemis Bow Novus, along with 321 Determination and 499 Critical Hit Rate, I maintained a steady 409 DPS. Other bard was on TP/Ballad duty.
    Although, I had to pop towers and do homing missile, but none of those do not affect DPS what-so-ever.

    This is without potions. = =, >.>

    BRD is the only DPS job that is required in endgame, simply because of its songs.

    So...I think it's in a better state than most, since in addition to very good damage they bring a lot of NECESSARY support.

    I have yet to encounter a serious Coil progression team without at least a BRD in it. Go figure.

    Thanks for reminding me of this. This made Bard so much fun when you had to use it before the big hits like death sentence. Now people think of it like a easy job and i don't blame them because they even took this away from us.
