    The only reason they wore the melded i110 gear is because (obviously) first week of patch they didn't have full i120/i130 gear, and as the top tier raiders get more drops you will see them wearing less melded gear overall. They won't need +vit on rings because they will naturally have more HP via their new left sides. And of course "customization" of stats is laughable, there is no customization in MMOs. You follow the pack or you get left behind, if you don't follow the "maximum" set up you become alienated.

    The person chose to get +15 vit from each ring. He did this because the extra HP would help a lot with the mechanics in T13. If he so chose, he could have easily put Dex materia into the rings, and had more than the i130 rings give. Which in your words, would utterly smash the coil piece. Please, stop trying to sound smart when you have no clue what you're talking about. Thank you.

    As far as I am aware, from all the testing, this ring would not allow any DEX added into it due to stat capping.

    Stat caps. Ilvl 90 rings have a max dexerity of 13 and cannot be melded beyond that (assuming it is meldable). That's why you see mythology rings having 13 DEX. Normal ilvl 90 crafted rings only have 11 (so 2 extra DEX can be added via melds), while the HQ version has 13 DEX (which is max for it's ilvl).

    They should add 2-3 materia slots on all end game gears you can get from dungeons currency. This will add some longevity to the gears and can make some gears more desirable depending on your set ups. It will also make a good use of the crafting classes and materias. Perhaps also make the elemental resistance materias to have "reduce x amount of damage" etc... It's a way to adopt FFXI style of gear progression without changing much of what they already have.

    Definitely not add materia slots to coil equipment, but I vote yes to having for instance an NPC that allowed to customize each coil piece stats to an extent (kinda like Novus).

    adding materia to a loot item probably isnt going to be beneficial, since the stats are most likely at cap for that particular ilevel. This is also true for HQ crafted gear - you would only be complimenting it's stats with different ones not adding more STR/DEX or whichever stats are on the item already. its not going to be very noticeable.
