No matter how many times they ban a bot, that gil seller will just create another account and continue on with business as usual. The only true way to get rid of bots and gil sellers is to crack down on the people buying the gil, not the ones selling it.

Trust me when I say you're the minority in this case. Remember S.E. all sees is loss of $$$ by taking any creditable action against bot users and R.M.T's. Nothing personal just business as the saying goes.

So you're essentially saying, if all SE want from this game is $$$, and they wont punish those who breach the user agreement (bots/3rd party tools), that there is no good reason not to cheat in this game? I'm having trouble getting my head around this. The only reason not to cheat for most people is the fear of getting caught? Are we the minority as you put it, the only ones who want to play legit and have the game kept clean of cheaters? Should we just accept that this is the way it is and will continue to be?
If the CM's wouldn't mind confirming this, then I'd be happy to take my leave from the issue - and this game.

That is what they should be focusing on.

If they would just focus on either one (botting to produce gil // buying gil) I think it would make a massive improvement to the credibility of this game.
As it stands, RMT'ers and players are botting without a care in the world and nothing is being done about it.

Multiboxing is not boting.
And it's sad but beeing bad a playing is not a bannable offense.

Is there not a way to multi box but also have a bot program control them? Im not a computer expert but I remember hearing different things about multi boxing like it was ok if the person was controlling all 3 but a bannable offence if they weren't. I mean, no person could be THAT bad at playing, then again I've been proven wrong before ._. It just didn't feel like I was playing with a human being.

When using another program to modify the way to play game is ageists the rule enough to get you some penalty. And if it's really make other player trouble... Like destroying the economics. Making player who obey the rule become disadvantage. Then banning is what need to be done.

In Tonberry I found a group of BLM with the same character setting for more than 20 character teleporting in and out Uldah atheryte for more than 15 hours today. Reported that. Hope they get to stop soon.

None have been banned, when will you start banning these bots SE? CM's could you please respond to this thread with some direction on this major issue in FFXIV ARR.

A simple Google search shows people talking on other forums about the specifics of their bots. Still no action from GSU? I didn't think that I would, but after over a year of subscribing I think it's about time to find another game.
