Is there not a way to multi box but also have a bot program control them? Im not a computer expert but I remember hearing different things about multi boxing like it was ok if the person was controlling all 3 but a bannable offence if they weren't. I mean, no person could be THAT bad at playing, then again I've been proven wrong before ._. It just didn't feel like I was playing with a human being.

I multibox myself and there is nothing wrong with that with the TOS (and you can register up to 8 game accounts per SE account). Since i'm not a human octupus, it's clearly not as good as human controlled char and you heavily using follow and have hard time for micro management. So yeah, that could be kinda weird and you can be really bad in a learning phase of a dungeon. I think he was not able able to complete it with is 4man group, so his tank or heal leave for the final boss to have less things to do. I don't think it's nice to do on a duty and i usually ask friends for that if i need so, but i don't think that's something a bot will do.
That's say, it could be a bot user who just level up his bot using something that's look like legit boxing (or level multiple chars with boxing and plan to use them to bot after), their is no magic way to be sure. Best bet is to usually to ask. If he use joke in name, my bet is it's legit. Some hint could help to see the difference, if he reply, if he's doing his epic quest, multiple jobs, tribal reputation, own a house ...

Please keep posting screenshots of bots on your servers, with coordinates visible and names blanked out (to avoid ban due to name/shame). We want the devs to know the game is full of RMT and players who are botting and getting away with it, and we want them banned. Most importantly we want a working report tool so we can have them shut down in due course and not freely cheating ongoing.

If the health, credibility and longevity of this game means something to you, please be heard. While it appears this thread is being ignored, there's a chance it may not be.

I can think of a number of reasons why there has been no official response to this thread.

1) The official response has already been given elsewhere;
2) There is internal disagreement on what to do;
3) There are more profitable ways to use the available resources;
4) The terms of use are not strictly enforced;
5) (Self-moderated).

The 5th reason is pure speculation, but in the absence of a satisfactory explanation conspiracy theories thrive.

Lately on my server I've been getting repeated friend requests (i.e. a friend request every 2 minutes like clockwork) from the same characters with names that are just a scramble of gibberish letters. Not sure why they're doing that, and I can't prove it's a bot, but it's really annoying.

The same guys are back in Siren. I checked out their gear, and all of it is made by the same person. I guess these guys have their own crafting mule as well.

It could be square employees trying to make a buck on the side by helping RMT, lol.

The following is a list of reasons why it easy for Bot users and R.M.T. players thrive.
1. Blacklist limited to 200 people. This allows delete names to be reused By R.M.T. spammers.
Solution: Increase the size of the list.
2. The process for reporting Bot users and R.M.T. activity is unnecessarily long.
Solution: Add a report option to by clicking on a player. With a sub-menu for what specifically is being done by the player.
3. There is no /block invite feature in the game. R.M.T. spammers send a friend invites along with /tell spams.
Solution: Add a /Block invite feature to the game.
