    You guys want that game back? Might as well quit now. Even SE said his vision was the wrong vision. I don't know if you guys who are whining because Tanaka's game is dead have noticed, but there's more people on since 1.18 went live then there has been in a good while. I mean, really, it was so bad they literally took it away from him and stuck him on XI where he couldn't hurt anything anymore.



    Because this is set in stone and not adjustable, right? Say it with me now: "1.18 was not the end of the changes." Say that until it's lays its little eggs of wisdom in your head and they hatch to be full realizations of This is Not the End.™
    If they want to make a game with rigid role choices, and not much customization per class or job, they need to make a lot more than 6 jobs. It simply isnt enough variety to capture that many different playstyles that people want to play. Even FFXI would have had more freedom with 10 jobs and 10 possible subjobs, as well as multiple weapon choices per job. (this is in vanilla)

    so they better get to work on releasing new jobs and classes fast, only two styles of mage (offense and defense) with no trees, or divergence is a really small amount. It was slightly workable when you had a lot of customization options, but they way they are going? nope.

    they were all in there within about 1 month of release (AT LEAST), THE MORE YOU KNOW, and they already had pics of them before beta was done.

    i think they were actually always in game, you just had to get to 30 first and find the quests, so no one started off with them.

    FFXI went live. At the very begining the registration server went down several times (Lmao) and it was also spread through the comunity. Next day the president of Square apoligised to everyone and gave a 1 month refund to the customers.

    当時MPも高かったナイトのHPが、戦士より低く下げられる。
    各属性値がLvが上がるにつれて上昇していく仕様だったが、

    ここでノートリアスモンスターが実装される。
    この時に実装されたNMで未だ現役なのが多いのは驚きである。

    - Bind was a godly spell that only wore off when the spell actually wared off. So even if you attack they never broke. This has been nerfed.
    - Auction house became live, the system seemed different. It states that it was a full auction based system (I have no clue what this means).
    - DEX bonus were added to the sneak attack and Hand to hand ability were added to the thief.
    - When ever you received the gil steal traight, the mob stopped dropping gil (HAHAHA) this has been stealth fixed.
    - PLD's hp has been putted lower than warriors. Their MP were pretty high.
    using deduction you can assume it would be impossible that they altered plds hp, before they existed in the game, and the longest time difference that could be from release to opening is about a month, though im pretty sure they were always in game as i said before.


    So yes, even ffxi, had more class choices, and subjob combinations than what they are talking about for thier new system.

    they also had 4 different mages, and multiple applicable tanks, 2 mages with heal support, 2 with dmg potential, 2 with support, rdm pld, war, or mnk could all tank, way more options, and different styles for doing things.

    If yes, then you're talking about the game Tanaka built.

    You can say "Tanaka failed" cause he was the undisputed scapegoat for the launch catastrophe, but honestly the game he was building was a better game in my opinion. It simply was unfinished. We should have let him finish it before kicking him to the curb. Some of what Yoshida's doing is refreshing, but I'm still saying that 7 months of delay really wasn't worth this stupid fucking auto-attack system.

    I literally fall asleep playing MRD & LNC, just like I did in XI. If Yoshida can tweak it so it's not so dreadfully boring just standing around waiting for TP, or standing around waiting for my MP to refill so I can continue to help out in long fights - great, it will solve a problem that YOSHIDA HIMSELF CREATED. It wasn't perfect before and it's not perfect now, so stop pretending Yoshida answered all your prayers.

    What problem did Yoshida create? Making DD classes less spam happy? Making mages actually think about MP use? Not allowing you to spam spam spam cures all day and all night plus be the greatest nuker there ever was? Those aren't problems as is evident by many many many more people making positive posts on this arguing for them than the same 5 or 6 people posting negative ones and defending to the death their position. You wanna play the old XIV, invent a time machine. It's dead. Get over it.
