I'm against this idea. Like someone mentioned, it's just a smokescreen for people that have more play time to gear up faster.

While this seam like a good ideas, the reality is that it won't work. Why? When a Tank Role or Healer role is already cap, can you imagine the que time for DPS role? It is already bad, and you making Duty Finder even longer. There will be no Tank and Healer and only DPS que for Dungeon, add this with Ninja and you have some serious problem, lol.
And another problem is that, people will gear up too fast before new contents is released.
If you want to make queues faster, get healer and tank friends.
I queue as a tank almost every time (unless I have other friends going as well) so I get my speedy queue.

Well first ill upgrade my whm with poetics and after whm its my blm/smn and after that its monk. And before im starting gearing up my tank there will be a new patch and that gear just got obsolete
If it worked this way i could get whm/caster /tank and maybe monk too to ilvl cap before new gear.
Hence the "i need another level 50 character to be able to gear up more classes" which i feel is weird in a game that lets you play all the classes on one character

You seemed to have missed Felis' point. the ilvl stuff from soldiery which technicaly you can farm enough for every piece for every job in a single day because there is no cap. Will make you over geared for all content but final coil ,but high enough if skilled enough you can clear.
You can now farm second coil to your hearts content for that gear.
But you want every job you have to have the second best gear per content cycle? Which would serve you what purpose beside having more pixel treasures then other people?
again this whole thread is just about wanting more stuff then other people pretending to be about helping que times.
I find it funny that the best guilds clear coil in the minimum ilvl gear while others still can't beat twintania with ilvl110 and the echo buff. and then there are those that cry they need the best gear for DF for each job.

Only for Coil you need BiS gear. and I doubt you use all the jobs you counted for Coil. For every other content ilevel 110 is good enough (there is now also a ilevel 110 cap onhardhigh level dungeons)

No this is a bad idea. Reason is it has been said many times that you can play all jobs with the armory system yes. But the focus being on one main and many secondary roles. It was never meant for people to be able to parallel gear all jobs at the same time. Think of it as a project at work, there are many different projects but you would typically pick a priority order and work from the most to the least important one.I like your proposal, the current system makes little sense with the armoury system, can play all classes but you wont be able to gear all of them by the time the expansion hits. It being role specific at least means DPS can go around and try tanking or healing dungeons if they see themselves with a geared tank/healer.
Not everyone plays the game to get better gear, I happen to like how the new gear sets looks and I want them for vanity. I could care less if im ilvl 10 or 110.
I play this game to collect all the cute gear and thats why i think it sucks that I need to wait more than 6 months to get all of them for my classes. And next patch maybe thers something new that looks even cooler and then that previous set is totally uneccesary to me

You can have:
10 DPS Classes
10 Healer Classes
10 Tank classes
There will be a majority of DPS anyway. Tanks and Healers have always been and always will be less played than DPS because tanks/healers get too much hate from people.
